Jacques D'Amboise, he dances with his partner so beautifully, the lifts look effortless.

Glad you enjoyed it! The sound quality is particularly good during the songs because fter the special aired, NBC released an LP of songs from the show, of which I had a copy. So I synced the hi-fidelity sound from the LP to the picture from my dad's 16mm kinescope.

In November of '57 I was just 8 years old. As a New Yorker my mom would take me into the City to see Broadway shows. So I often look for YT videos from this time and genre, I am glad YT directed this video for me to see. And I added a "Like"

Considering the time period when this was recorded, the soundtrack sounds very good even today. Thanks for sharing!

They released an LP of the songs on the show. I digitized it and synced it to the kinescope, which had lower quality sound.

Am i also seeing Helen Hayes; Chita Rivera; Jacques D'Amboise and Bambi Lynn (from the film Oklahoma) perhaps? Doretta Morrows Broadway voice is so beautiful to be able to hear and so sad at her early death. Thank you for sharing this find...
