Vajrayoginī - Instructions for Cutting Through Delusion (Trekchö) - Dzogchen

Trekchö is translated as ‘thoroughly cutting through’ (resistance, stubbornness, toughness and closedness), or ‘breakthrough’. The practice of trekchö reveals the view of primordial purity beyond conceptual elaboration. Trekchö means cutting through delusion with fierce, direct thoroughness.
Vajrayoginī is a Tantric Buddhist female Buddha and a ḍākiṇī. Vajrayoginī's essence is "great passion", a transcendent passion that is free of selfishness and illusion - she intensely works for the well-being of others and for the destruction of ego clinging. She is seen as being ideally suited for people with strong passions, providing the way to transform those passions into enlightened virtues. Vajrayoginī is "inarguably the supreme deity of the Tantric pantheon. No male Buddha, including her divine consort, Heruka-Cakrasaṃvara, approaches her in metaphysical or practical import."
This reading entitled: "The Instruction Manual on the Ground of Trekchö" was taken from the text 'Perfect Clarity' translated by Eric Pema Kunsang.

We experience the phenomenal world and our minds as solid and truly existent. Very few people doubt these assertions and question their solidity. Yet, the process of disbelief is the first step on the spiritual path. Tulku Urgen Rinpoche

In a sense, the world of phenomena IS truly existent since to exist means to stand out or to stand apart. It is the underlying reality from which it stands out that perpetually goes unnoticed. Perceiver and perceived stand out, but there is only perception, or awareness of perception, which can't be pinpointed. @@sawtoothiandi Hmm... deep sleep=mind alone (not absence of awareness, but awareness of absence) dreaming=mind+time (awareness of experience, but no-body present) waking=mind+time+space (some-body present, who claims to be the doer/experiencer, but is really just another appearance in awareness) If unadulterated awareness is most real, then maybe the waking state even less real than dreams!

Definitely had an out of body experience listening to this while trying to sleep. Was in between sleep/awake and then I lost all sense of self. Felt like I was catapulted out of my body to somewhere else. It was awesome and scary at the same time.

What was that like? Did you feel something separating from your body? When you say catapulted did it actually feel like something was being flung out of your body? I leave my body now and then, sometimes terrifyingly frequently but once, this was intense, I felt this tremendous energy right about at solarplexus level and some tremendous power like a rocket shot me out of the top of my head and really far away. Super far. But I won't go into that now. Anyway, when things turned sour, and against me will, there was some horrific suction event that sucked me back into my body through the top of my head. And like they say, I did not want to come back. It was ten years ago and I'm still mad about it. haha. Anyway, what happened???

Hi Jonathan, Sarva Mangalam! is a Sanskrit phrase, which appears on many versions of prayer flags alongside depictions of various symbolic animals, Buddhist deities and mantras. It is said/chanted to invoke good will and auspiciousness for all beings. It is literally translated as "may virtue abound" "may all be well". On the flags it is used to spread this wish far and wide with all the elements that the flags imbibe. May there be peace in earth, water, fire, and air, the sun, moon, and planet, in all living beings, in body, mind and heart. May that peace be everywhere and in everyone. Mangala is an adjective meaning auspicious, lucky, fortunate. Sending all good fortune to you dear Jonathan 🌺🌊🌈🔥
