Absolutely not. Vadim, as a danseur noble, doesn't exactly fit for this role (he's too tall, and it's more adapted for a demi-character dancer) but his classical technique and interpretation is much better. Polunin's classical technique is declining since he left royal ballet, most of his representation are contemporary. Vadim has been awarded for the second time as "Benois de la danse this year", with yuri grigorovitch as president of the jury. He totally deserves it, he's probably one of the best classical dancer of his generation if not the best.
