imagine how clean it would be if i done this every day lol

My loft was designed to be the same as yours.......I did have a trap door put in the floor. It opens up and all the droppings can be swept right into the bucket under the loft. I then use the leaf blower to finish up. Good video! Thanks for sharing

yeah its a great idea, i got mine from kmart, seems to do the job!

Lovely video, find them very relaxing and good to learn about keeping pigeons. I don't have any myself, I am just a general pigeon lover. I think they are intelligent, beautiful creatures and heroes in wars carrying messages and saving people. I also love woodpigeons, plenty of them where I live so I enjoy my daily walks whilst we're in this lockdown. :)

They smell can give humans a lung fungus, pidgeons are eating shiyting machines thats all they are good for! They attract small medium and large extra lafge filthy anoying flies, those dirty death eating flies, That then enter peoples homes! And shit all over walls and windows when they panick... Bottom line is that Pidgeon lofts should not be permitted in urban residential areas, Banned from being permitted in residential urban gardens, Making other people's lives Hell 😡

I make my own race mix which consists of the following, Milo Weat Cracked corn Whole corn Maple seed Peas Sun flower seeds Budgie mix I mix the grit in with it And put the garlic oil as well as the BVM powder it’s working a treat don’t have to put separate bowls. Keeping any type of feed out of your loft is important to eliminate diseases

not a bad mix at all! my last mix had alot in it, i have cut back now to one seed from each group basically and just fill the nutrient gaps with pink mineral powder for now, my birds are really doing no hard work. your mix is good pigeons are spoilt!

Maney great stuff mate, thanks for those measurements just a helpful tip, try put down a bit of sand in the loft just to help with cleaning process, with the olive oil a drop in each nostril a day or two before a race or toss will improve endurance and protect from repertory issues along their travel

Just a tip for your new race loft at the property, have the food, grit and all your stuff within the new loft eg. like an add on or a middle compartment for you to prep birds etc

I have ONE banded pigeon I rescued at my bird feeder this summer. He keeps me busy enough cleaning up his cage. I can't imagine having 50 plus. My loft gets vacuumed but its my spare bedroom. Wow does he lose a lot of feathers. I had no idea.

It’s funny because in Scotland I live need the pentlands and thare is like 1000 members and me and my grandad are the best at winning races but our rings start with su20p for Scottish homing union and the p for pentland what do ur rings star with.

Hey Maney here is a helpful tip when you build your Master Loft on your estate you probably should make the floor out of mesh it will save you the trouble of having to clean it so often.

Get yourself some Harkers Loft powder and brush a bit of it into your loft floor after cleaning and the perches too. its about 25 quid for a 10kg tub of it.

yeah i usually do, as much as my veggie beds can handle anyways aha feathers are good form of nitrogen but beds are to small and feathers take way to long to break down, are you doing the same? i have grown some good corn in there this season!
