Staf Dusarduijn is probably the most famous dutch fancier of all time. 17 First Nationals on Bordeaux, Dax, Barcelona etc. Asked about his feeding methods he always explained: "Feeding pigeons is very easy. You buy a good mixture (not too many beans). Than you fill a can and then you feed it to your pigeons till one or two go to the drinking pot. Takes about 15 minutes." I have known Staf and he was not a person to lie about these things. His management of his pigeons was very simple because being a farmer in summer he had little time for his pigeons. Thing is: fanciers that are fanatics about feeding systems also are fanatic when it comes to the FUNDAMENTAL THINGS. They don't winn because of their feeding system but because of their fanatism.

My pigeons always have grit in front of them, they will only take what they want, I also don't tip left over food on the floor of my loft, this could cause bacteria and encourage vermin rats and mice

@@jock2109 Sorry Jock, but that's no argument because 99% of the people that do otherwise neither aren't among the fed winners. Maybe you can read what I have written above.

@@leunisvandewege9651 heavy feeders do not time on in sprints but get better returns as their birds have plenty in them to fly even if they make a mistake.Anyone feeding to win is feeding to the minute and they gave bigger losses as in some cases if their bird makes a mistake it has nothing left in it to carry on for 6/7 hours more

@@jock2109 Did you ever try it out? So, one compartment on a feeding system and another without? During some time? That's the way to find out things. Otherwise it's just fantasy without any proof.

@@leunisvandewege9651 of course I have I was top prize winner in my club 18 years running and managed to be top prize winner in both federation and combine. With 4 combine winners to my name and the first one being against over 1,000 lofts (that’s lofts not pigeons) 1,000 members flying ….. I know what I am talking about (my records are there to see) my write ups are there to read in both the Homing World and the Racing Pigeon

Watch the ones that stay out ,they. Maybe starting with something. If they keep on staying out get rid of them. Like you say for 2 of them it could be that they want to go back into the other loft. The other 1 i would get rid of. That type of pigeon is no good. 🌟👍
