Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

made a diy vacuum tester and did an at home 3 angle vavle job with a set of Neway Seat Cutters, I haven't messed with the exhaust becuase they are sealing up fine.

    This is a neat little trick. As a machine shop Owner I have a Sioux brand pro system. And you will be surprised how many " Fresh Valve Jobs".... won't pull 20 ".of vacuum. But for those in a pinch. ( like we are when our cool shit don't work).... put Valve in ,hook up springs. Pour gas in the port and watch the Valve and look for weeping... (GAS ONLY water and others will seal because it's thicker ).. if you see a stream you got troubles. But it if barley weeps out. A.light lapping will fix it. This technique works well when you go to buy a set ( That they say is good).. A coke bottle of gas tells you what your next move is . People say I shouldn't tell these things. But I got all I can do and then some. I BLESS OTHERS AS THE LORD HAS BLESSED ME.. Go and be blessed with your projects my friends. 👍 😉

    Expandable guide? Very COoL. Who knew? :O) I already love that you are "tooling up" for some serious hands-on garage work. With the (serious) lack of machine shops these days this is looking to be the way to go in some situations. Also the concept of vacuum testing eluded me all those many shade-tree years. Better late than never. Thank you for the "tip" (ironically, something a mohel told me years ago but I digress). You RoCk.

    Hi can u pls explain once you shut off valve, how much vaccum should be holding and how long please.

  • @vrm86gt

    @vrm86gt

    3 ай бұрын

    just as long as it doesn't drop rapidly, ideally if it holds vacuum for 5 seconds or very slowly drops you should be fine, you can also fill the ports with gas or water and watch for seepage into the combustion chamber but most machine shops will confirm / test the valves seal with a vacuum test, Hope that helps!

    @@vrm86gt Thanks so much. I filled with gas and i see that it eventually leaks after 3 minutes.. Not sure if that is acceptable. In the beginining it leaks immediately after lapping it hold for 3 minutes.. i hope that is normal.. This is a normal working engine, i changed block because it is burning oil, ... pls advise.
