Leak Test Apparatus LT-300 is used to check sealing integrity of Blisters, Bottles, Containers, Pouch, Sachets, Packets, Watches, Foodstuff etc products. Leak detection can be determined either by wet test or dry test based on company's SOP.
As per the FDA guidelines, It is necessary to conduct audit/checking on the consumable packaging products on regular interval. Bubble leak detection Method, Methylene dye test ( ASTM- D3078) can be performed in our vacuum leak test apparatus.
As a working Principle; During in-line continuous production, one random sample (bottle/blister/packets) is taken from the population (from the lot of bottles/blisters/packets) at a discrete interval (after fixed hours) and tested in the leak test apparatus. Desiccator is filled with regular/colored water and then vacuumized to check the continuous air bubble occurrence on the top surface, indicating hole/puncture in bottle/blister seal.
Some companies also does dry testing of Packets , Pouches & Sachets. Application of vacuum creates Pressure difference between the inside of the specimen and the desiccator air pressure. The difference in pressures grows until the specimen is no longer strong enough to maintain its integrity and it explodes.
Automated Micro-processor based model are also available. Fixit's Leak test Apparatus is designed as per the GMP norms. Qualification and Validation support shall be provided.
