In this video we are going to rekey a vacant to get it ready for the next people. This one ended up having a mix of locks so we had to replace a few. Enjoy

Very early in my career I was using an impact driver to back out some Schlage deadbolt screws, trying to be fast. The thumbturn went flying across the room and it chipped some of the matte black finish. That was the last time I ever used an impact on hardware screws, lesson learned

Great video as always Jason! Man you guys loves your locking knobs down there. I always push customers into passage knobs, prevents lock outs and there is no real security in it anyways. Change my mind.

I mention while I'm at the back door "do I have two passage in satin nickel" or something to that effect. Turns out I didn't so they got locking knobs. I think most houses like this (in nice safe quiet neighborhoods) are fine with all passage (especially rentals) but in not so similar other areas I would say go locking knobs as well. I personally think if you can turn the knob while shouldering a door open it could (maybe) be easier to break in, while the knob of course doesn't add much, it does add another point of resistance, spread away from a single point o resistance. If they had a really sturdy frame, and decent deadbolts with the correct higher security strike it wouldn't matter much but that's not often seen. I personally have passage on my doors but I also have the ASSA strike boxes installed along with obvious and not so obvious cams everywhere (and a german shepherd that can be seen through the door lol)

I love vacants but I do mostly hotel apartments. I get to set up my pin kit and go to work without being rushed.

Can see why bit drivers are not so needed over there, when you can get everything done with just one screwdriver.
