While it's true that mining lithium ions and manufacturing batteries for electric vehicles can pollute the environment, it's important to remember that this is compared to a petrol engine emitting pollutants for nearly ten years. Therefore, to justify the environmental benefits of electric vehicles, they would need to be driven for more than ten years and cover a significantly greater distance. Another factor to consider is the charging source for electric vehicles. Is it truly eco-friendly? It's essential to evaluate the entire lifecycle of electric vehicles, including their production, use, and disposal, to determine their overall environmental impact. I am not criticizing this video or channel in any way. I simply wish that channels, including news channels, would consider the environmental and financial aspects of electric vehicles (EVs) as well, instead of ignoring these facts and simply promoting how good EVs are. If you are buying an EV to satisfy your dreams or because you want to spend money on what you want, that is fine. However, people are promoting EVs based on eco-friendly facts and financial benefits without fully understanding the actual impact. It is true that cities would be free of pollution if all vehicles were electric, but the pollution would simply be emitted elsewhere, where manufacturing and power generation take place.
