Correction Mayor R Ramanathan Chettiar is not the son of Raja sir Annamalai Chettiar. He is the son Diwan Bahadur SM.Rm.M Ramasami Chettiar who was co founder of Indian Bank along with Raja sir Annamalai Chettiar and V.Krishnaswami Iyer the lawyer who fought the Arthbunot Bank in the crash and his father and uncle's family provided all the funding and managed it up until its nationalisation during the emergency. Mayor R Ramanathan Chettiar is the first director of RBI.
