That brings back some memories. I highly recommend doing the driver experience if you even get the chance to as well. Hot Laps are always over way to quickly but it's a wild experience none the less.

He raced in NASCAR here in the States and won two Cup races at Watkins Glen International along with some Xfinity races at Watkins Glen and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. NASCAR actually held an exhibition race at Calder Park Thunderdome, a 1.1-mile/1.8-kilometer long, high-banked quad-oval that was built and modeled after three of our speedways (Atlanta, Charlotte, and Texas) that are 1.5-miles long (Atlanta is 1.54-miles). The exhibition race was titled the Goodyear NASCAR 500K, which was a 310-312 kilometer event 280 laps in length, and it was won by the late Neil Bonnett.

@@TheAzza876 We miss him in the States, a unique personality that introduced NASCAR to Vegemite. When Michigan was repaved in 2012 he qualified his stock car at an average speed of over 203 MPH on a 2-mile track. Part of it was due to the grip of the new pavement. Jeff Gordon holds the record now at over 206 MPH. He left NASCAR after the 2014 season. He is part of a club of foreign-born drivers to win a NASCAR race. Others include Montoya, Earl Ross, Ron Fellows, Suarez, Friesen, Piquet Jr, and Mario (he emigrated from Italy).

Dave Lucre I’m no stranger to Motorsports, I grew up riding motorbikes! However, this was the fastest I’ve ever been in a car, the initial acceleration startled me a little haha

That accent of your's. . Gulp.... I am a sucker every time. What an amazing opportunity this was for you. All things motorsport = win!!

You obviously enjoyed the experience. I did the V8 Adrenalin day at SMP, and while I loved the actual driving, the hot laps with the instructor at the wheel made me feel car sick.

i worked in Gigiganup in WA the locals said when peter Brock drove around in the morning he gave the V8 full throttle refreshing to hear about one of the greats driving high powered vehicles like they should be driven but that road was pretty narrow like the roads in Wales UK more suited for rally cars RIP Peter
