In the V66 update, they claimed to have fixed the camera warping issue. However, after installing the update, I still experience the same warping problem.

Dont know if youve tried it BUT i got the v66 update, jumped straight in to see the new passthrough and it still was warping I did the power off option as it said it had updates (usually it does nothing, it sits updating for a few minutes and nothing changes) THIS time it updated and the passthrough kicked in 🤘🤘🤘

Just a correction about Apple Intelligence: it’s the exact opposite of what you assumed, most requests use Apple’s models (either local or on the Apple servers) but if a request is better suited for a different model (general world knowledge for example) it will offer the option to pass it off to ChatGPT to the user. This part is opt in though, the user will need to manually enable it and confirm that they want to send their data off to OpenAI. The majority of requests will use Apple’s models

The first headset to have eyesight tracking WHILE while being affordable is going to take off like crazy

You didn't see WWDC or a recap? Apple is introducing a new locally running LLM that will be Siri, then if Siri cant handle the request it will be passed off to private cloud compute, apples own server based collection of ML models, THEN if that still isn't deemed applicable for the request then and only then will it be passed off to ChatGPT and llama etc with full end to end encryption btw.

Hi i am a big fan

i havent been able to use the multi-modal mode (using a controller and hand at the same time) for around a month now and some others are having a similar issue, has this been removed? or is just a problem for some users?

Hey, i just tried the app for the watch, you can now tap the middle of the screen on you watch to ''pause'' the tracking.

What watch are you rocking? I like the look of it.

The S in names started with iphones. Like 3GS and 4 and 4S. So the S means faster as in Speed . Anyway it doesn't mean cheaper for sure.

So what's the actual v66 version were looking for to fix the passthrough? Because I got a v66 update and my passthrough is worse. Now there's way more distortion when I turn my head and the warping is just as bad

is the debris/water in the USB-C port warning still there in v67? i use v57 and suppress updates, with this usb warning the quest 3 is not usable in live competitions like online racing.

And when the pointer points onto the browser it must take control of that window. I think its not a big deal for meta to implement the browser multitasked and controllabel in other apps

10:39 as someone critical of Apple, it'd be imperative that the combined price of the iPhone and the Apple Vision Mini (name pending) needs to match the Apple Vision Pro - it's so that they can make money back on the device (an iPhone can cost as much as 500 USD in raw materials at least), but also so that there's room in the budget to make it as good as it can be within the price bracket. The Pro was a misstep and Apple needs to make the sequel succeed. If not for themselves, then for the whole of VR so it can truly get mass adoption.

The warping fix was so shocking, cuz one day i boot up the quest like usual and the passthrough is instantly 10x better and somehow looks WAY less like a shitty android camera from 2009, just blew me away

you know what i want the ability to as an ethernet cable to the quest rn it isnt compatible and when you plug an ethernet in it wont register it

The only time I tried VR chat, I went to an 18+ server being that I was 28ish at the time and it was full, and I mean FULL of 10-13 year olds made me feel like a really uncomfortable, hopefully this will mean 18+ servers are actually 18+ servers. to any child that might read this, we don't care what you think your mental maturity is, if you're not 18 and over, don't go to those servers

Some things i haven't seen answered anywhere: Can the multiple windows be placed anywhere in your space? I.e can I place a browser on my kitchen wall, and walk into the bedroom to look at the existing friends menu? Secondly, does this work in pass through? The videos I've seen are all in VR

Still waiting for windows to be detachable from the home bar. This freedom of windows is still good but not perfectly convenient

When the quest three was compared to the Apple Vision Pro when it first came out There was a huge gap in its Capabilities and features. But now I feel like the quest three could go toe to toe with the Apple Vision Pro with all its new updates. Even though the Apple Vision Pro has micro OLED Lenses and eye tracking.

I'm curious. I'm still happy with my Pico4 and Quest3. How much better could the Pico4s be? Do I need that? Time will tell.

You're talking about version 67, and I'm still waiting for version 66. It's ridiculous that they can keep coming out with. These new versions of new versions before the last new version is even fully rolled out to everybody

It isn’t true, idk why he didn’t do any research at all. Five minutes of google will tell you that most of the processing is on device or on Apple encrypted servers. It’s only certain things like recipe ideas that it will ask if you want to use ChatGPT.

That was already confirmed a while ago. But it's not crazy news because it's just a trash PCVR headset with all of its gimped features. No HDR, no haptic feedback... basically no nothing other than it just another cabled PCVR headset.

Is it just me or does the passthrough quality when recorded looks ALOT better then when you actually put on the headset. I got a meta quest 3 & yea I can see my phone & watch better but I just wanted to see if its just a me problem or thats just how it gets recorded. Which would make me believe if it looks that good record and its the same camera im looking at then why does the quality not compare?

Has meta fixed the bug where apps can no longer access the android data directory? as that has broken a few projects i was working on but also beat saber modding (thats definitely not the main reason im raising this queston 😂)

Great video and happy for increase the Horizon os feature but ... I was thinking of buying the Quest3 personally I'm very hesitant in fact I still have a Quest2. With the Quest3, Meta opted for a change in thickness, switching to AR and specifically an MR viewer so VR is also present and still dominant fortunately, I would have preferred a VR viewer like SONY's PSVR2 with all those features. So it's worth waiting a little longer to see what the Quest4 will be like. But in light of a recent event my belief in standalone systems is wavering a bit. “Entitlement check failed, the game will quit” I'm afraid it will recur on all meta viewers although the software will be compatible with the successor, the old PERFECTLY WORKING model will not be able to run REGULARLY PAID SOFTWARE. I'm waiting to see what happens and in the meantime I hope for a stand alone Windows PCVR viewer where we all know how to resolve these unfortunate events.

Going to fullscreen is pretty much broken in V67 new window mode. Controls are lost when switching to fullscreen, the only way to regain control is by closing the zombie window...

The explanation of Apple Intelligence really does it an injustice. Processing for basic tasks is done on device, processing for more demanding tasks happens over encrypted communication with custom Apple servers. The ChatGPT integration is not only optional and can be permanently turned off, but it’s really only for the random tasks Apple Intelligence isn’t trained on like recipe ideas and condensing web information to answer questions.

Since the v66 i have some tracking issue, i hope it will be fixed in this one

Pass through on vision pro already is lacking, if they decrease the quality even more it will be far below the quest 3. With the new warp fix I actually prefer the Quest 3

The "safety" stuff is why I left VRChat. But now we have Resonite! :-) If you tell people to report each other for everything and accept constant surveilance, and you end up with only bad people left. That's what happened in the USSR and in Nazi Germany. It's just how we're wired.

I think tethering the non-Pro Vision to an expensive iPhone is the best thing they could do to bring down the cost. You shouldn't factor in the cost for the iPhone to get the full price of the package. The Vision Pro is ridiculously expensive but a non-Pro Vision over $1000 ist still pretty expensive. I would guess over 95% of the people buying any Vision, Pro or non-Pro, already own the most expensive iPhone anyway. And it's not like when you buy a Vision Pro, you sell your iPhone because you don't need it to use the Vision Pro. So both groups will own the most expensive iPhone.

Pico 4S is most certainly a pretty bad name. As for it coming sooner than we thought... I mean, Pico 5 was predicted to come in the last 25-30% or so of this year before it was canned. The 4S coming out around that same time frame makes sense to me. Though what does not make sense to me is calling it a Pico 4S since unlike the Quest 3S it's the more powerful model. And second, the specs will probably be close to the leaked specs we had of the base Pico 5.
