7:56 i use the Pro's mouth tracking a lot in social VR. I've gotten quite used to just expressing myself naturally rather than trying to memorize gestures

The quest Pro is the only headset on the market that checked all the boxes for face and eye tracking. Thats the only reason I would upgrade from what I had (index). I know a lot of programs don't use it that much, but thats because there is almost no hardware with it. I mean look at what apple has done with their headset and eye tracking. I wasn't willing to pay 1500 for it, so I waited, and picked one up for 700 bux. Thats a much better price IMO. I would have gotten the Quest 3, but no eye and face tracking so not worth paying what they wanted for it. It does suck that I have to stick a vive tracker to it, so i can use my FBT and it is kina janky. If they made a headset that does both inside out and lighthouse tracking along with the face tracking that worked with Steam Vr it would be amazing. Hopefully thats the valve Deckard... whenever that releases haha.

I have never been so happy to see a sponsorship... I've heard you haven't gotten the greatest financial situation after moving back to Poland.

I can't even get a new quest 3 without dead pixels right in the middle of my vision. I can't imagine buying a refurbished to save fifty bucks or whatever.

Bad luck, but FWIW, Meta will be going over the refurb units with a fine-tooth comb, so they're actually less likely to have dead pixels than a new one.

I am not sure if is considered breaking news or not, but I noticed two days ago that both Target and Best Buy here in the U.S. are no longer carrying the quest 2 in stores and online. I know that the quest 3s is supposed to come out later this year so I think they may have sold off their remaining stock, but you can still get them thru Meta’s website as well as Walmart and Amazon, though the latter being sold via third party resellers. I was planning to pick up a pair for research for a program that I am planning to do in the library I work at in the spring thru BestBuy, but I guess I will have to go thru Meta to get them now. Sorry for the long post, but I love the news videos. Keep up the great work Mystical!!!!!

Just got my quest 2 refurb and it’s superb

So they show us augments and talk about a new UI and now heavily delayed… was it a ploy to get people to buy the q3?

The company making Freemaim VR shoes seems to be looking for KZreadrs to cover their product and I would love to have a third party opinion on those. They do seems to be the best solution for VR locomotion in an apartment (way better than an expensive and bulky treadmill).

I’m still using quest 2 even though the hand controllers are flaky 😢

Just released QR cards or something for the Augments ffs. It's largely decorational anyway. Atleast it would always be in the same place Btw headsets are probably delayed to implement the new battery technology

4:00 you don't see why not? One word: occlusion. How is the headset gonna keep tracking on stuff it can't see half the time?

Does anyone here know why the Quest apps cannot work together while in a special app (like a game, for example) like it used to? You can add up to 3 tabs at the same time, like whatsapp, instagram and the meta store, and it was also possible to do that inside a game, so whenever you clicked on the menu button, the middle one would always be the game, going on top of whatever was in the middle before, and the other two would remain next to it. Now it simply won't work when you try to drag an app to the side of the one in the middle whenever you're inside those special apps. I've never seen anyone talking about this and I can't find this anywhere. Does anyone know why it got removed or if it's something I need to change in my settings?

MX Ink - great accessory, but it's only really exciting and incredible to use when you can export and process 3D paintings in other programs without any problems. But maybe I'm not up to date?!

Next generstion in maybe '27 = my confidence for investing in a Quest 3 (or maybe s) is way up. Good.

Anyone still having issues with pro controllers not connecting since update 65?seems to be a common problem and still no fix on the horizon,gutting when you spend so much on them!

Augments are interesting, but what would be much more important and easier to implement because the core of it already exists, is just letting us place existing 2D apps anywhere in the room independently from the dock. It's just weird that this wasn't already possible since QuestOS v1, since it's just so obvious that this should be a thing. We also can freely place windows in any desktop OS. Why should this be different in VR/AR? The base idea is nothing new at all.

it would be really cool if meta and valve went "hey lets work together" and start to create new headset that are wireless. Valve is capable of it thought, it would just be cool. Meta could also work on a system that lets you pair trusted source (like Logitech) controllers in the meta system (like lets say Logitech create controllers like the valve index ones and can be pair as they are a trusted source among meta). So if Meta does become open source and releases their cameras (or more), other company's can make self-trackable controllers and see if meta accepts it and lets user pair their controllers.

People complaining about their quest 2s while I'm still running a quest 1 exclusively through VD lol

So you can play pcvr games on avp, you just need to buy more expensive hardware from a completely different vr set and run a sideloaded app to do it. Ok if you're the type to buy up every vr set anyway, but not going to win points from normal consumers.
