Lookin good guys! Here are three thoughts: 1) There are 36 tooth and 48 tooth solid steel 40/41/420p sprockets, they are probably the only ones that will hold up to the torque. 2) Race karts set their clutches to engage at the peak torque output of the engine. If you are going to want the fastest acceleration, you might want to look at swapping out the roller cams and springs on the drive unit of the torque converter to engage at a higher rpm to help compensate for the lower torque at wheels at the standard engagement RPM's. I'd check MFG supply for those. 3) If the torque converter didn't come with a belt that says "comet" on it, the belt will have less surface area to grip, resulting in loss of power to the wheels. The chinese knock off belts are the same width, but not as thick. A genuine comet belt will outperform a Chinese made belt every time because it is thicker (not wider). Have fun!

nice build, i have a garden tractor or lawn tractor that now i want to put that engine and torque converter in. i love the amount of power it makes!! and for the turning wheelies i beleive that is from one tire heating up faster than the other causing more traction on one wheel

you guys are so much fun to watch! that dagum wheelie go cart looks like so much fun!

I skipped ahead in the video a little and landed at 13:50. Straight up thought he was pissing on the go kart xD

Ike might just be my favorite KZread R ever. I really like and feel like I can relate to his laissez-faire attitude ("It'll be fine") and I think he's about as "real" and down to earth as it comes. Plus, he's a good ol' southern boy, (read man), like myself. Keep up the good vids.

That thing needs to be cammed like the dragster. The idle on the dragster is just mean. Gives my the shivers....LOVE the sound of that idle.

Thanks for the video; I'm using one of these for a mud motor build and this helps a lot.

Why would you put a smaller sprocket on it? I understand you want to race the corvette but doing all those wheelies has to be much more fun

You could grind some metal off of the weights on the governor. That would increase the rpm and you would prevent floating the valves and spitting out a keeper. I love this video!

they are expensive. we got ours at gopowersports but i think its rated at 16 hp. we are pushing 20 hp with 40 foot pounds of torque at the wheels. so far its holding up great. its around 400 bucks i think

Isn't that a 22 horse motor? you lose a full 5 hp from the crank to the wheel? don't sound right, that's a big loss. Try a iridium plug and race gas????? open up the air box, and try one size up on the main.

Thumbs up, Isaac, lower the wheelie bar to keep engine level to stop oil rush, adjust wheelie bar to allow 2 inches of travel and gain more control. Try making the w/bar using a leaf spring. Great video Okie-Bob

bend the wheelie bar towards the ground where it's about 3 inches up it will keep the front wheels from getting up to high still have some give so it's not super rigid and will make ur momentum forward instead of upward and make it faster on the launch
