We would agree most of the time with the choice of music that we think is good and we're very happy that we have this kind of relationship. Your music is absolutely gonna be in our music players! This is a talented young group. Their music shows glimmers of genuine creative talent and excellent musicianship. I hope to hear more from them.

I found Vok through the Seven Lions Creation song. Their music reminded me of Bjork, but of course no one can compare to Bjork. However I LOVE LOVE LOVE their beautiful Icelandic music. They are so ridiculously talented :)

Finding this band on KEXP had been one of the most beautiful things for me this week. Iceland has some really incredible performers that are highly underrated. I was recently bummed about Kiasmos taking a break (another amazing Icelandic band that KEXP loves) and Vök has really been helping me to transition into something new. I’m a musician myself (primarily flute/tenor sax but I do some guitar too) and I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to hear the saxophone as an integral part of this band. Her vocals are so beautiful and haunting, it almost reminds me of Sade in some distant yet close way. And don’t even get me started on those smooth hip movements of the bassist, ha, ha. The drummer does a fantastic job at being gentle in a strong way, really, the entire band is just incredibly moving. I recently watched their other performance that KEXP featured in 2013/2014 and I highly recommend others to watch it, as you will see how this performance right here has been so fined tuned. They have truly evolved into their own and the confidence that they display in this performance is so different than how they were in the earlier performance of 2013/2014. It’s really amazing to see how they have matured as musicians. Great job!

i saw them live in a bar last tuesday. i wanted to close my eyes alot, because the voice and sounds where so deep, it really touched me. eyes closed, eyes opened, repeaditly. and i was able to have a small chat with them, thanking them. it was a perfect night to remember. you shoud go see them. they sound the same, hearing them in real as if they sound on the vids. :)

No recuerdo la última vez que una banda me impresionó, son excelentes músicos y me agrada que no se preocupen de sobre manera en como van a lucir, cuando "todo el mundo" los conozca. Me encanta como de verdad agradecen la oportunidad de tocar en un sitio como ese. Felicidades, su música es de verdad excelente, no dudo que puedan seguir sorprendiendo, incluso con sonidos muy distintos a los que ahora presentan. & today from Kaiwaka found Vok's "Before" listening to insincere messaging from NZ's neolib "Contact Energy" on NZ 0800 90 8000 - the silver lining from 39 minutes of looping repetitive promotion and music cut into pieces - some seconds long Hope Vok gets royalties for each of about 40 samples played & distorted on "Contact's" messaging system in this one call
