UWS - SoHo | Proving Google Maps Wrong
Train prices are going up, and I'm late for meetings. In this video, I rollerblade down to the @AetherApparel store in SoHo to pick up some ski gear, which will ensure I'm toasty when I'm out in Utah. The plan is to get some creative for them to use while I'm out there.
Maybe I'll do a video of that on here, let me know in the comments if you would want to see non skating stuff..
My skate setup is: The @PowerslideInlineskates Next with the @endlessblading 90 LR frame.
Appreciate all your support!
Ari

You are one of the reasons I started rollerblading last October, massive respect to you Ari, you're awesome! Thumbs up from Spain
Always nice seeing you. Thanks for skatin by! 😎
hey dude I love your videos, especially the view you are giving us skating through this amazing city. loving it..;) Please be an example and show your 308k followers this should be done with a helmet. Just saying since I am crazy lucky to be alive after a bicycle incident 14 years ago in London wearing no helmet. Severe brain bruises, double scull fracture, tinnitus, loss of smell, reduced hearing as a result. Catch u at the next one..;) Thanks dude!

Agree, can happen so quickly. Overlooked a thick branch 2 days ago 😅 the dent in the helmet indicates my skull wouldn't have been happy to take that hit... And I was mainly wearing the helmet for the winter-kit to keep my ears warm 😬 changed my mind to always wear it from now on 🎉 Hope your health is well enough to still enjoy the things you love 🤗

Agreed. I was rearended by a hit & run car. My helmet broke in two but I had no head injury at all. I did break 3 ribs & my collarbone but it would've been FAR far worse if I hadn't been wearing a helmet. The Dr. said my helmet saved me since I went head first over my bike handles onto the pavement.

Yeahhh inclined to agree, Downhill skater, skydiver, and paraglider here. First time bombing a hill on my Freebord i caught a highside and ended up in hospital with a subdural hematoma. Next time I wore a helmet and when I crashed I cracked the helmet in half and luckily only had a skull fracture and cerebrospinal fluid dripping out my nose. A mate of mine, Sam Trowbridge ended up catching a highside while downhilling in New Zealand and had a subdural hematoma and died from it. Have seen pilots crash their gliders and break their spines but helmets saved their lives. Have had glider pilot friends crash into the sea and drown. (Not helmet related but you understand the gravity of my experience when I talk about my friends dying just doing sports like this). Have had base jumping friends die as well as skydivers collide doing B rels and helmets saved them. There's really no argument to not wear one.
You are amongst one of my favorite city skaters…thanks for the content…truly inspirational
Great tour ride in NYC as I'm here going on five years 😊❤ Enjoyed
Awesome video man! Watching you skate makes me strive to get better, your flow is amazing!!!!!!!!
Hey! This is really random, but thank you so much! You’ve inspired me to skate, and along with that I have picked up a lot of other new hobbies! Thank you for letting me express my creative self ❤❤❤
Blading in the winter truly makes you understand what Canadian summer actually means! You really only need a sweater. Im last minute delivery guy for Amazon so since I'm outside all day I have carry my layers on my bag when I blade to work. Be looking like I got a kitchen sink on my back 😂 I think it might be you bro but people are lovin rollerblades are on around the city. Whole crosswalks start cheesing when I fly by.

Bro i been hunting your new videos down every single day. Im glad we got another one!
Congrats on 300k 😮🎉
I know what you're doing is really hard work plus you factor in traffic safety and talking and camera work making it harder still. Rollerblading takes a lot of effort but you make it look easy!
My dude, you have a super power right there. It's awesome.
You're amazing and all but it really bugs me that you don't wear a helmet sometimes, all it takes is a small mistake from someone else and that's it. :(
Great video, I really enjoyed your commentary
Happy new year dude! Can't wait to see what you bring with your videos this year... Remember drink more water!
This is my favourite concept. Beating google cycle times. Challenging and entertaining.

I am so depressed i have such large feet. Having a size 13 means i have zero ability to do the stuff you do. It looks so amazing. But last time i tried a skate big enough felt like i was skating on skis...and they were heavy as sin. but i love watching you flow thru NYC. Exhilarating...
Dude your going faster than all the traffic lol 😂
Someone told me you’re going to start streaming too!
Love this and so inspirational. I live in New York and bought Rollerblades but finding somewhere to learn is a challenge (in case you have any tips). I long for the day to be able to do this, but for now Im still finding my feet (literally). Thanks for the videos
Never thought NYC roads could look so smooth in your videos.

I’ve been rollerblading for a few years now and just started outdoors a few months ago. I’m wondering how tight the axels on your wheels are because if I have them too loose I wobble and fall at high speeds, which I can pick up with them loose but tight and I have no roll what so ever but lots of control, is there a sweet spot or is it just my wheels/axels?
So based on the places he said he went around 4.8 miles in 24 minutes, which is 20 km/h average speed. That's pretty high, I average that on skates but only on flat ground with no traffic. My average travelling speed is around 10-15 km/h but in my country rollerskates count as pedestrians, not that I have any wish to go with traffic so it slows me down a bit, plus like three red light crossings I need to wait at on my route. Plus I got hit at a pedestrian crossing once, so I fully stop and let every car go since, never want that to happen again.
I figured you'd make it there early! Good work Ari. Why is your volume so up & down? I had to keep adjusting mine since the music was usually louder than when you spoke.
I love how he covered his flexible delineator....

What boots are you running there? The white ones.
Hey just a question (don't have to answer if you don't want to) but do you record skating with an insta 360 camera? If so how do you edit your videos is it other software including the insta 360 studio app? I have been planning to have scooter videos using the insta 360 X3 so I've been scoping around the net but haven't found tutorials on editing long form videos hat have editing tactics like yours with the 360 studio.
What rollerblades would you recommend for a beginner who has never skated?
Id like to see more vid of you and angelia
🙏🤎 Always good to see you travel safely in the concrete Jungle that is NYC❤ You inspire me to roller skate down the mountains where I am 😂 It's the getting to the top that's the intimidating hard part.
Ari, are your Powerslides Next skates wide or narrow? I used to have RB Twisters and they were too narrow for my feet. I'd like to try these Powerslides if they are indeed for wide feet!

Don’t know if it helps but I have EU size 43 and bought a 44/45 size (so just one size bigger but here in the EU they are sold as 42/43, 44/45 and so on) and they fit so well as my feet also want some space haha and I am used to wear these standard white sport socks which are a bit thicker fabric . Where I bought it the sizing calculator the shop offers online also recommended this bigger size even if powerslide themselves write that choosing a size bigger is not necessary. But for me it was as I before had a 43 sized shoe from them which felt too tight (different model though than the next ).

I have a question I'm looking for a pair of really good quality rollerblades and I definitely need really thick padding in the boot because I have really small ankles I was born with club feet. I'm trying to stay under $200 but the bad thing is that I have a small foot I wear a size 5 youth in kids shoes. I have done some research on the fr skates frx 80 they say that they have really good padding and they run small. Do you have other options for rollerblades?

Please, guys, use your helmet!
No helmet, running red lights, dangerous close to pedestrians and shocking car drivers suddenly passing close by while they drive. This looks cool and is probably fun but apart from not being safe and parts of it being illegal it’s a menace to everybody else whether walking or driving. I do a lot of bicycling in the capital of my country but I also drive a car in the same area and it’s extremely stressing to have people cycling out in front of you or generally just moving aggressively on the bike. I did not realize how my manners on the bicycle affected the motorists before experiencing it myself after getting my drivers license. My worst fear is to one day hit one of those riders even though they are the ones driving in a dangerous manner so please act more respectful towards your fellow road users.
