I also have had this exact same pad for more than 5 years and it's still working great with no issues. I love it.

Thank you for mentioning the plug in connector. I’ve been looking at several heating pads trying to determine if that was going to be a problem.

Have you tried the LED ones with near infrared and red light ? If so , which was better? I believe in red light for skin and the near infrared makes sense . I’d like to have a pad with all 3 modalities. I have a deteriorated , bulging disk in my low back . I also have knee and neck pain . Is this still your favorite and do you feel it’s actually healed you ?

There is a lot to unpack here lol. I have not tried the led with near infrared so I can’t comment on that. This one (with the deep penetrating heat and accurate thermostat) seems to help me the best … but am I healed? I am action packed with issues! This is just one tool in the box that gives me some relief for a bit. I have been to doctors etc… they can’t figure it out so just trying to mitigate it best I can. I have looked into the red light therapy but I don’t think it would get deep enough. Good luck with your pains! If you find a solution please send it my way!

With your bulging discs, you should consider FAR Infrared heat because it penetrates deep to the skin.

Thanks for sharing, Sarah, because I agree with your encouraging review after getting my own pad. I have leg and back/shoulder issues from arthritis. This QUICKLY gets relief going on a decent size area so life can move forward. I can do front and back of both legs at once. My legs were thanking me for this therapy thats feels fantastic! I would appreciate another review for the same unit in near future, to mark reliability and normal wear/tear appearance. (●’◡’●)ノ

I love your emoji! Cute. Others have been posting stating they have had it for 5 years with no issues so I anticipate it will be a good one.

Do you know how to troubleshoot issues with the UTK heating pad?

It would depend on what issues you are having. If it is an issue with power supply you may need to check your connection or outlet. If it is an issue with the control box itself it may require you to get ahold of the company as I believe they had a 1 year warranty but I could be mistaken

Is there any dangers? Can I use this on my chest or abdomen? I also think upper back or upper chest may be good for muscle growth and healing. What do you think? I noticed it has a MAX Temp of 159 F. You ever MAX it out? I am curious on the dangers because of this?

Consult your doctor 🧑‍⚕️. I have never maxed it out. We normally run it between 112-125 at the most. Unsure if dangers and would recommend speaking with a physical therapist or doctor. It is a good product and does a great job at evenly distributing the heat !
