Utilizing Contact Stabilization Damping Properly in Ansys Mechanical - Lesson 2

Ғылым және технология

In engineering simulations, a proper definition of contact is required to accurately model the interaction between two bodies. However, in some cases, components in an assembly may not be touching each other initially. In such cases, the components may undergo some rigid body motion before contact is detected between them which may lead to non-convergence. In this video, we discuss a few ways to resolve this problem and demonstrate the use of one such option, Contact Stabilization Damping, in Ansys Mechanical.

Sir, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH. I have a shaft to coupling problem with a tolerance gap between the teeth pair and I could not have a converged solution. This helped so much, thank you so much.
