utilize debt to grow your farm

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

for those who understand money...or want to learn ......
money is now credit ...this started when the gold standard ended
if you understand how money works, you can utilize debt to generate cash flow and grow your business (farm) exponentially...
inflation causes higher commodity prices... but thos higher prices do not mean your going to be able to buy more .... inflation IS devaluation of currency.... the only reason we have not had more inflation than we do over the past years is due to global markets (i.e - cheap China labor / mfg) ....
covid spending accelerated money devaluation - it was a a rapid pace... but, it's been going on for a long time ..most don't realize it because their wages increased at the same rate of inflation .... but not this time!

I think and talk about this subject daily. Inflation and how taxes work is tearing things apart. The government wants to keep the money flowing all the time. Right now it's tough to figure out where to put your money. Obviously being in cash is a terrible place because the buying power is dwindling down as inflation increases but unfortunately you need some money at least to go out and take advantage of any good deals that could possibly pop-up down the road. I try to invest my money in land but it has it's own issues and you always have a nice amount to pay back. Some investors are even claiming the stock market may not do much for the next ten years. I don't think it will be like that but I did warn several people I lived during a time period that in fact the stock market did not grow much for years and told others that could happen again. I'm in my mid forties and have lived through several patterns and anymore can see a lot of things coming before it happens. Land is getting tougher and tougher to buy by the day especially if you are not paying cash. I hate to say it but some cd's right now are paying over 4%. You will see more and more to advantage of this because land is high and around here it rarely comes up for sale.

For sure .. I agree ..... I don't know if the stock markets going to do much though... for the past several years companies haven't done very well, so they just buy their stocks back - cheap interest allowed them to flourish ...but now with cheap money over, and supply chain issues- things could really change ..... I agree land is a good investment - were buying as much as possible- biggest tricks just finding anything to buy

@@Blackearthexcavationandtiling Yeah I think it will be at least a couple years before the stock market turns around. I rode the mountain almost to the peak and pulled my money and waiting to reinvest back into stocks once I think it's settled down.

I stumbled across your soil sample analysis video and have been hooked the past couple hours. Being 20 y/o and starting to farm some ground as a first generation farmer has led me to look for honest answers and ideas/opinions from farmers/people outside of my immediate circle. Got to say you’re an incredible source and am loving the videos.

Dad started farming in the mid 70s, and got hit hard by the farm crisis. After that he never took on much debt... And never grew the operation much. So here I sit with scale model tractors, a desk job that I get laid off from every few years, and looking for write off opportunities. Oh, and some of the tennants of the family farm are now on YT, Fehrs Farming Organic. How are opportunities in custom farming?

Thank you for the comment for watching.... your the only one who's eluded to this .. sometimes being to conservative puts you out of business, as well as debt can .. all part of a balance.... custom farming is not great - lot of work, and not much profit.... I spoke about the custom service industry some on my other channel

I always enjoy the videos. Keep up the good work. My personal thought is the borrowing and money printing on state and federal level can only increase and if ever allowed to stop or slow down system would implode like a house a cards. I keep thinking it will happen in the near term but printing a few trillion for the rona, Ukraine, monkey pox, etc. is temporarily keeping the ship afloat.

Basically since becoming a fiat currency and market, it is completely debt driven to produce new money to grow GDP through new loans for whatever new purchase (home, business, etc) and the only way to grow wealth is by continuing to grow your debt as a debtor through real estate businesses and such..

Great video! The most frustrating aspect of our farm is the tax burden! What are your thoughts on corn price next fall? We locked just a little at 5.46 just incase, thought about doing some more but that isn't very good considering inputs

Thanks very much! ...... taxes suck - the whole system is designed to keep money flowing ....I think corns going to really increase in price this year yet - spring to summer it'll be over 7$ futures would should bring next year's prices up to the mid $6's .... the market news I received was 6.90 for next year .....and 6.70 for 24 .... drop coming in 2025 though ..... south America is hot and dry now so near term should start to reflect this ........ with 200 bpa corn 5.50 is ok ...but at 160 bpa or less it's not good - but depends upon your needed income levels ... sadly, interest rates will be staying high I think, which will hurt buying ...... I have a lot of market news I should make a video about

Ah inflation wonderful stuff, just keeping the printer running I guess. I always listened to the last 3 words of the Jewish Bible "Grab the Cash". I hate debt personally so I try to avoid it hence the reason my planter is a old 6 row and my big tractor is from 1984 but I don't complain they make me money. I listen to Dave Ramsey quite a bit on the radio and do a lot of things his way financially, but for farmers we are quite the exception we deal with way more money and debt than anyone else in the country.

@Kole Wiebensohn I actually don't think it will totally collapse ..... when the gold standard ended the Bretton woods agreement was formed, which basically means other country's follow the USD ... which was suppose to be back by gold ... technically we have defaulted this agreement...but if we go down many other countries (under the agreement) go down with us .... right now, there are challenging powers (China and Russia) who would like to tople our currency... there is talk of siezing putins gold ... I think we'll end up in another war before it totally collapses ... and usually wars are based on some form of economic issue .... and it will all start with a radical leader - someone like Gavin Newsom getting in as president ... history usually repeats itself ... sadly, if we didn't win the war, then the America as we know it, will be over (it could actually be worse than now) ..... Hitler rose to power after ww1 - he blamed the economic pressures on the jews and ww1 debts - and we know how that turned out ...scary part is people don't learn from history ....

Haha... I was actually thinking the opposite.... they basically went broke on the gold standard, so they swapped to the fiat system... and since they have just printed and printed .... but that's their only answer and the only way it keeps going.... unfortunately it's something that will destroy us in the long term...but they don't have many options .. I personally think it will all blow up in war .....
