My wife had the Sonata treatment done about 6 months ago. She had the procedure done in the morning and was playing tennis that evening. Her Fibroid’s ( 5 total all around 2-5cm) are non existent now.
I noticed that some commenters here have questions. Please remember that the doctor presenting here is not a KZreadr or content creator. The info/lecture is just being presented to let you know what is available. My advice is to watch and rewatch the video, write down your questions and concerns then make an appointment with your gynecologist or radiologist and discuss your questions and medical situation with them. Remember, no one can give medical advice via KZread and without studying your unique medical history and records.
I hate when people are so inpatient and controlling and interrupt rather than letting the presenter give their talk and ask their questions at the end. Sorry but this is inconsiderate and rude even for those wanting to listen to the lecture. What's worse is that these are professionals. That's my rant. She handled it so nicely.
I am curious about how many women experiencing fibroids also are lactose intolerant? This is true of me and I am more interested in research to prevent fibroids.
If you are planning to have kids in future myomectomy is the only option!the very same fibroid you shrink will grow back and if you fall pregnant after shrinking it chances of miscarriage are extremely high 80%
As a pathologist practising for three decades I ask this humble question "why some colleagues still insist on calling uterine smooth muscle tumors fibroid not by the scientific nomenculature as we teach medical students of all levels, MYOMAS ?" I have my reply as a quotation from the late beloved pathologist Stanley Robbins MD, (rip), but rather not mention it... best wishes from the Labor Day, May 1st.
Wow. This video is 9 years old yet still, the most comprehensive explanation I've ever heard about non-surgical fibroid treatment options. Thank you!!
If one more comment says (google it) I’m going to scream!

It's not that women want to live with the symptoms of fibroids; we want to keep our organs! We don't want hysterectomies!! Hysterectomies are one of the number one, expensive surgeries in the US!!! I'll continue to naturally rid myself of my fibroids!
Thank you Dr for taking the time to present this and whoever recorded it. I’m someone dealing with this and you presented it where I was able to understand and learn. ❤❤❤
Thank you. This is the best description I have heard so far of these treatment options.
Thank you Dr EHBOS on KZread. Very nicely explained about Uterine Fibroids . This is Anthony from Mumbai saying , keep up the good work,,
Laparoscopic or robotic myomectomy. In a myomectomy, your surgeon removes the fibroids, leaving the uterus in place. If the fibroids are few in number, you and your doctor may opt for a laparoscopic or robotic procedure, which uses slender instruments inserted through small incisions in your abdomen to remove the fibroids from your uterus.
