Utah Veteran Honored for Service and receives standing ovation
This video is of my father and battle buddy being honored for his military service at the Utah Jazz vs. The Houston Rockets basketball game on JAN42015. My father has served 20 years in the Army and Navy as well as 3 combat tours In Afghanistan and Iraq. I cannot express the gratitude and love i have for my father, men and women of the armed forces, and those who support them. I'm proud to be the son of such a great man with so much inspiration. This video isn't for glorifying my father, but a deep and heartfelt Thank You! to every veteran, past and present!

I have just barely seen this after so long and the reaction this video is getting is amazing! Quick update, my father is now retired (23 years)! He has also beat his cancer and is living healthy and well! Thank you so much for the gratitude and outpouring love for him and all of our service members!

Sadly many of them love the soldiers while they are active or deceased, they avoid them when they come home with PTSD, mentally broken, physically disabled. They like the heroic part, not the human part.
I love how he says “thank you” into the camera as if he needs to thank the country for something. Thank you sir!

A humble man, who's content knowing he did the job he wanted and what was asked of him. Much respect from one Guardsman to another.
This brought me to tears. I come from a family of military men and it reminds me of how special time is with our loved ones who served this country.
The fact that this man beat this disease made my whole week, whether it was God, or just grit I think he earned the right to stick around for a while. Thank you sir for your service.
That was awesome. I'm so glad to hear he beat his cancer! He deserves it - to live a healthy happy cancer free life. Thank you for your sacrifices and service!

Amazing. Because I didn't have the guts and courage as a younger man, I salute that man and every man and woman that has had those qualities for all of us. Have a day young man.
I dont really comment much but this family is a true example of what we should be like... thank you !!! God bless ya. 🍻
As a disable vet, I am so proud of Americans (and other nations) who serve and who have served, because freedom is a right for everyone and some don't have the ability to fight, so we do it for them.
Touched and mortified at the same time. Bless him.
Respect to this gentleman, and all that put their lives on the line.
I was moved to tears, what an amazing man.. thanks for sharing.
From one Veteran to another, thank you for your service in the US Military 😊❤😊❤🙏🏻
Went to America around 8 years ago and one thing I really liked was that the airlines prioritised members of the armed forces and their families. People willing to serve should ALWAYS be shown this level of respect, going by what we see in the media now the younger generations don't have a clue.
An American Hero!! 👏 🇺🇸 This brought tears to my eyes, God bless Him and his entire family. True Patriots. Without their sacrifices, this nation & all its blessings wouldn’t exist. I am forever Grateful for your service. 🇺🇸 ❤️
Hey man, just came across this video. Thank you for what your family has given our country.
Thank you Sir ,, God bless you n God bless USA.
He says Thank You? No way.... We THANK YOU!!!!!! Infact how does one thank someone who is willing to give life for others? Priceless, just Divine.
He tried holding those tears back. Sometimes you just have to let go. One service member to another, I salute you and thank you.
GOD BLESS HIM & HIS SON, MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT !!!!! 🙏 🙏
I envy the respect Americans have for their service men and women. Respect from London.
