UTAH VALLEY OF THE GODS COMPLETE ROAD AND CAMPSITE TOUR - ROAD TRIP AND BLM CAMPING
We finally made it to Utah. Valley of the Gods is our first stop. We stay the night and drive the entire road. The wind was relentless, but the views made everything worth it.

Thank you for watching and commenting!!
There were no fires allowed in Spring '23. That's why I camped on top of Cedar Mesa (Muley Point). I found Monument Valley to be somewhat disappointing. Traffic, traffic cones, commercialization. Memorial weekend VOTG was essentially empty. On my few 17 mile trips through there I didn't encounter more than 3 vehicles on the road. Worth every penny that you won't be spending on camping fees!
Gortta love Utah.... Seems like the amazingness never stops.

See that white in the road at the entrance? Looks kind of salty because it is. I had to taste it just to satisfy my curiosity. If you get the chance, take the trip!! No crowds, no litter, free camping, ultimate stargazing, clean air, and spectacular views (particularly up on top at Muley Point), deep blue skies. Too bad it's 1200 miles from where I live😕
Loved the video, we found VOTG quite by mistake a couple of years ago. Left Bridges and thought we would explore some and ended up taking the road to VOTG and what a surprise it was coming from the top of the mountain looking into the valley. We’re headed west again in 2023 and will certainly camp on the blm land shown on you r drive. Safe travels to you!

Nice video. I'm heading out that way this spring and your video encouraged me to check it out. Also - that's a pretty cool camper you have there. I've not seen that one before. Now, heading to your next video!

Wonderful! Welcome! Let us know if you have any questions. We spent a year planning that 6 week trip! We stopped at some great spots. Be sure you check out the wire pass video on slot canyons.. that was another really good stop that a lot of people miss! Have a great trip!
Moki dugway* is awesome. You would’ve been fine w/ the trailer. My video “2019 day 3” shows it

Gee, those roads were rough.
Did you need 4WD or could a 2WD truck do ok?

2WD would be just fine. The road is hard packed just very bumpy. Thanks for commenting!

That’s good to know, we’ll have 4wd but that makes me feel better.

I went through there 3 times in May '23 in my 2002 Honda Accord. Not a problem, piece of cake. Never, never, ever, ever, ever drive through after a rainstorm. That road will totally redefine the word "slick"!
what time of the year did you visit this area?

Early April.
