    I dunno if you can access it in the US but There are 2 high quality versions available here in the UK from ITV sport and England's channel. You can always use VPN to access them if they're blocked. Just generally speaking your better off using VPNs to see the international channels highlights, you lose the American commentary but gain a bunch of clarity. If I had to guess why the quality is so poor it's probably to do with licensing, I guess NBC/CBS or whoever it is who airs these matches has exclusive rights to the HD footage in the US to encourage you to pay for their streaming services, so USWNT have to upload an inferior version to satisfy the TV deals. Because the original footage looks fine, this was filmed at Wembley in 4k using the same camera system used for the England mens team, so I can't imagine USWNT would upload such degredated footage unless their hands were forced.

    USNWT fans can not hang our heads over the result. US were playing with a young inexperienced lineup and without Alex. England needed VAR, the refs, and huge mistake from our D to win. If these two played a 7 game series, US would win in 5. Chin up, fans. Noting to feel sorry about.

    We lost to France before the 2019 world cup. The US needed this game. It was much better to play it and not have a winning score, than to play a lesser team and win by a huge margin. I'm not unhappy with the outcome.

    Let's be serious we liked the result... We didn't have our 2 best plus the coach substituted like 7 players so young ones got a chance to get a feeling of high level play during the game plus the 2 goals from England wr gimmy goals, one given by a blooper from the US defense and one given by the ref. They did not actually make a legit goal due to their offence. We did, 2 of them lol. Good game by England for sure but made me feel good knowing that from what happened in this game the outcome would not be the same if we wr at 100.

  • @CMJames

    @CMJames

    Your mistake is thinking England were at 100 too. They didn’t get out of 2nd gear and passed the ball around you leaving you clueless. They used the ball so intelligently, and your first goal came from them sticking to their principles and passing close to their goal. You probably wouldn’t have scored if not for a poor pass out the back. Your midfield was not existent, and had England played Russo you would’ve faced a real embarrassment as she would’ve finished the chances England created. The WC will shock you, as European teams will play with skill, technical brilliance and football IQ. The US are fast and strong, offering nothing else. Athletes Vs footballers.

  • @Lucky210309

    @Lucky210309

    The goal was given because the lines person judged the ball to have been played by Rodman and not the pass from Girma/Cook (can’t remember which CB passed the ball). If Rodman got the touch then Smith was onside when this occurred and so the goal was legit. However VAR checked and found Rodman and Daly didn’t actually touch the ball and so the pass was from the CB. When that pass was made Smith was an inch offside. Therefore the goal was ruled out.

  • @Lucky210309

    @@dertwerst The highlights don’t help with what happened. Essentially when Smith has the ball and is 1v1 with Millie Bright - she picked the ball up from a pass by Girma. When Girma passed the ball Smith was offside. Rodman had attempted to flick the ball from Girma’s pass on to Smith who got herself in an onside position but didn’t touch the ball therefore the play was ruled as offside because the last touch of the ball was Girma not Rodman. When Girma played the ball Smith was offside but by the time it reached her she was onside. But the offside rule states that is an offside offence.

    The USWNT have been successful in the past simply because women's football in Europe was not taken seriously. Women were not allowed to play football and also little was done to women's game. Now that money is pumped into the women's game in Europe makes it competitive. So watch out USWNT, the Europeans have risen.
