Ustad Amir khan Sahab is god of music, it is really sad he left us prematurely in Calcutta during 1970 s but his soul is always with us

ust. ameer khan saab presented the raag suddha sarang , astonishing singing style and rendered very much rich although founded him such in every performances . in this respect i would like to mention the name of kisoreetai amankar , rendered so heavenly that khan saab also showed . both khan saab and tai are mortal but their voices are immortal .thanks

This is the very "Royal way" of singing !! Perfectly afternoon atmosphere is developed while listening this Raga !! Means the Great Ustd Amirkhan has created this atmosphere with his "Shudha"/ perfect way of singing with his style ie sung uni with "Swara's",,

Nobody mentioned here the taan he sang ... I have not heard such powerful taans in any singer ... clearly in those days these might have gave ustad bade Ghulam Ali Khan a run for money

Such a right-mood interpretation of afternoon notes and the atmosphere during that day-part... Seems to be incomplete. Sad. Leaves one yearning for the concluding portion.

He learnt under his father, Shahmir Khan, who was actually a vocalist of the Bhendibazar Gharana. Amir Khan, himself, however claimed to have started a new gharana, namely, the Indore Gharana. He was influenced by Kirana Gharana stalwart, Abdul Waheed Khan, as well as the Khand-Meru system of raga elaboration.
