I have heard these compositions on AIR more than a dozen times, but KZread makes it available as and when you want to calm yourself. Simply astounding.

Great divine music! I had the fortune of hearing him sing malkauns at rang Bhagwan, Bombay late at night. Alas he passed away prematurely Due to a freak accident.

It's a heavenly experience. His Vilambit (and often AtiVilambit) renditions are so magically soothing. Apart from this, Khan Saheb's Marwa, Darbari and Lalit are also equally soothing. Especially, when I think of Darbari, it is invariably Amir Khan Saheb. 🙏🙏

In my experience,the style of gayoki ustad amir Khan is a path finder of the Indian classical music .from my age Of seventeen I am his follower . And learn music by the grace of pandit srikant bakre .he was discyple,of amir Khan .

The definitive malkauns I love ajoy chakraborty' s rendition and ustad rashid khan 's rendition was life saving for me but no doubt this is the very essence of malkauns in all.its stately glory Listening now at 1.30 am with the constellations wheeling slowly overhead . Amir khan is the greatest, he combines deep scholarship with divine emotion, what a privilege to have access to this , thank you for another masterful upload rliesky ❤

I had the privilege of listening to Ustadji when he was alive; I have always considered him to one of the best singers of Hinduatani Classical Music ever. This magnificient recording proves my point.Words are insufficient to praise it enough.Thank you for uploading.

My soul.. Nothing to say. A spiritualrendetion

Ustad Amir Khan Sahab lays down the benchmark for the 'Maha-Raga Malkauns'. The 'vilambit' is: "Jinke Mana Rama Biraaje" and 'drut': "Aaj Morey Ghar Aaila Balama".

I don't know nothing about pure classic but while listening this rendition, it seems like my soul was flying in a tranquil area very happily. I've listened Malkauns of BGAK, that is also the best but this rendering has a calm & soothness. Thanks too much to the uploader.

I have heard this raga many times. It brings tears to my eyes every time I get to hear such a beautiful rendition by Ustadji. :') please upload more. We are all missing him and his talent and i must admit that as a singer myself, it's so important to feel the songs and how the musicians like Ustadji interpret each and every raga and it all depends on how you sing it. This is a very serious and meditative form of rendering raga Malkauns and it just to me, brings peace on earth and it just brings peace on me and this is the reason why I really love ustadji's recordings and I'm always mesmerized and captivated by such a divine voice like Ustadji. I'm crying as I'm writing this because the way he renders raga Malkauns is just so touching and it deeply touched me inside and I love this rendition of Ustadji. Thank you so much for uploading this video and I'm sure I'll definitely get to hear more of ustadji's recordings on different ragas too........hats off to Ustadji. It's a beauty!!

I am fond of Raga Malkauns specially by Pt Rajan Sajan Mishra ji....but Ustad ji really did a fantastic work...wah...cant stop listening :) kse kse ustad log is dunia ko apke fann ke jhalak dikha ke ja chuke hain...wah....speechless

Haven't heard a better rendition of Raag Malkauns. His voice, his sur, his style, his entire rendition is ever alive, ever beyond comparison.

This is after long time I am recalling Ustad Afaque Hussain khan Sahab though he used to play in Calcutta long time back. I am realising the potential of his sath badan n theka I am realising only a very little part of him

Subhanallah! His rendition is absolutely meditative and easily takes the soul of the listener at the realm of complete bliss!! I am privileged to listen to this Maestro !!

O.M.G. Truly, you can tell the greatness of an artist by their handling of Malkauns. And this careful, caressing, layered build up definitely puts Ustad Amir Khan right up there among the greatest of the greats.

This is a very beautiful rendition of Malkauns and it moves me to tears of joy every time I get to hear his beautiful voice and tonality and realize how he does his rendition of this Raga. It's because Malkauns is a very complex raga and it's massive.

मालकंस राग आपल्या अंतःकरणाचा ठाव घेतो का तो राग गाणारे गायक ते सांगता येत नाही. परंतु त्या गायकीने मनात प्रसन्न तरंग उमटतात ऐवढे मात्र खरे. नमस्कार उस्ताद आमिर खान.

I have this doc and also the one on Darari . I think these are some of my best treasures . Unfo rtunately I missed attending his program in Calcutta a . Just before the scheduled program he died in an accident . But in classical traditional vocal I think he is the best .

Very true........there's nothing else that's just as beautiful and pure as his voice. It's like I'm hearing Indian vocal music from the heavens. That's what Ustadji has......he has the voice from the heavens and it makes it sound so very meditating and just very relaxing as if it's taking me to the peaceful and starry midnight sky. Furthermore, may ustadji's soul rest in peace. The whole world is greatly missing him and his talent that he brought.

Ustad Amir Khan Saheb was only one of his kind and created a unique form (style) of singing Kheyal, previously unheard and therefore his singing and baritone voice caught the conniseurs' attention and had, possibly, the the largest fanclub before his unfortunate accidental demise.
