Agree. UST was silent and humble compared to Gagate and Canino who have been staring down at the Tigresses. Bagay naman kasi magagaling sila specially Canino. I was waiting for more Poyos’ deadly attacks. Nakakakaba kasi magagaling sila pareho.

I think UST recruited the best players they could find, whether locally or internationally, offering a competitive package to at least equal if not better than the package offered by the biggies like La Salle and Ateneo.

UST really deserved their win! Their floor defense was just amazing. Poyos is fearless! I think that they need to focus on having a reliable middle blocker. Main reason why Jonah shut down during set 3 and 4 was because DLSU knew they won't use Plaza as an option which they need to start using her as an option for the next games. On the other hand, Tolentino definitely gave a breakout performance, I even think they could have won this game if she was injected earlier on. Angel Canino is amazing as always! Both teams did amazing and have nothing to be ashamed of.

True, maganda hugot ni CRDJ kay Tolentino. Next game, it would be Julyana > Julia. Maganda naman receive nila in 3rd and 4th set. Nadala sila sa crowd ng UST on the latter part of 5th, nawawala sila sa focus at walang katuwang si Angel. Mahaba pa ang season, maraming pwedeng magbago pa sa system ng La Salle kung mag stick sila kay Tolentino.

@@iamnikkoangelo stats don’t lie, I think it’s just that UST wanted to win this game more than DLSU that’s why they won and I agree about their composure. all skills set lamang si DLSU from offense to defense, too bad for them lamang din sila sa errors. Not discrediting UST’s win, but like what i’ve said stats don’t lie. For UST, a win is a win nga naman and they will take it. For DLSU, look at the bright side, they only need to work on their errors, especially the crucial ones.

as a UST fan we don't have big expectations talaga at the start of the season masaya na kami kung maka-isang set man lang sa NU at DLSU and they give more than what we expected at sana ngayon ang next goal makasali sa Final 4 and umabot ulit sa Championship finals 🙏🏻💛

@@francis8625 yes sir. UST really dominated the inaugural Shakey's Vleague on 2004 and for 3 straight years from 2006-2008, making 8 championship titles from the 11 finals appearance.

It felt like a championship game! Glad UST won. What they lack in height compare to DLSU, the compensated with their floor defense. Congrats Tigresses! Most importantly, no sweep this time for DLSU.

Plaza is a replacement for an injured Abbu. Plaza is actually good defending the net given his size. She is also good in service. But DLSU is a formidable team. Defending Champ with a solid line up. So mahirap tlgang kalaban. But I agree UST needs to have more reliable MBs.

At yung ibang fans din ng ibang school, manonood sila. Dahil parang finals ang laban pag DLSU at uste ang naglaban.

At lamang nga ang DLSU sa lahat ng skills set, not to discredit UST’s win, pero lamang din pala si DLSU sa errors, and some errors hunt them on the latter part of the game. Looking at the bright side na lang sa la salle, work on their errors lalo na’t may game pa sila vs NU.

The beauty of being underdogs is that opponents don't expect much from them. They may have "scouted" them here and there, but perhaps not as much as what they'd do to the top guns. The thing with the UST Team is that NOT all eyes were on them, and much to these big teams' surprise, the girls came prepared. They were the ones gearing to play David's part to defeat Goliath. The team that was once hunted, now the ones hunting teams down one game at a time. From underdogs to dark horses of the tournament. Congratulations, Mini Miss UST!

Deciding Set Score was 9-12 Swaggers ahead. But UST executed a clean 6-0 run geleng, the match ended with 15-12 in Favor of the Golden Tigresses, devoured the swaggers. USTE so far is the team with a clean slate.

Kaya kung gusto ng NU at DLSU bumawi sa kanila, work on the things they lack nitong first round. If DLSU want to win vs NU or on all their remaining games, ayusin nila errors nila. Tapos ang crucial pa nung karamihan. UST grabe pinusuan ang game na ito! 🎉

UST humbled NU and DLSU this round 1. Nothing to lose kasi sila at no expectation. The fact na binawasan nila pressure sa dalawang team sila naman mapepressure sa susunod na games. Sana makafocus pa sila. Nakita na nila kung anong kaya nila sana di sila maubusan ng mga dapat gawin sa round 2. Kasi magaadjust lahat ng team sa plays nila. DLSU fan here pero masaya ako sa UST kasi sila lang talaga consistent every year na nagpapakaba at nagpapaiyak sa DLSU fans. Hahahah. Good jon UST. Bawi DLSU.

coach shaq is also a good addition to the coaching staff of ust.

Eto talaga yung isa sa mga seasons na masasabi mo that DLSU is way ahead of UST sa height, experience and also most of the skills..so for me maka isang set lang super happy na ko..but my team proved me wrong! Sorry if i underestimated you girls..your Japan training really helped you a lot this year. And btw, how about the 7th man of UST? Grabe talaga UST crowd kahit dehado they still show up!
