I was thinking the same thing. If they had even a quarter of the carriers strike group defensive capabilities active they would decimate the attacking force.

It’s funny how when games come out everyone hates them, then a few years later they’re loved

Fun fact: the US will never run out of aircraft carriers.

That’s the last aircraft in the pacific because the Federation navy is in the Atlantic and keep the US Navy in North Atlantic because they main fleet is in the south Atlantic like the game show in Into the deep maybe the got 9 Aircrafts carriers in the Atlantic but only 1 in the pacific

Unrealistic,lack of lore,the mission is too similar to modern warfare and black ops series(because most of the mission in this game is just mw and bo missions mashed together)

The best parts is that most of north America is almost eradicate

I always liked the story of cod ghost and uploading it to high quality makes it look much better. Thanks!!!

Also the US. Navy is making a CVN 81 aircraft carrier but it’s name is the USS. Doris Miller. Named after the first African American sailor to be awarded the Navy Cross for his actions at Pearl Harbor, in shooting down an enemy aircraft during Japans surprise attack on the US Pacific fleet.

One thing out of many that is unrealistic about this game is that the conflict is against USA vs Federation of South America. How the hell did South American manage to get a better space and naval situation than the US?

Global Energy crisis due to the devastation of oil producing infrastructure in the Middle East led to first world nations such as the United States being weakened due to disruptions in the global oil market and supply chain. The United States maybe the largest producer of crude oil in the world however we, and other developed nations, still rely on Middle Eastern oil due to sheer demand, especially here in the United States where the vast majority of people drive everywhere. And even though the U.S is energy independent, much of the oil we produce gets put into reserves. The resulting energy crisis led to oil rich nations in Latin America, the region which holds the second largest oil reserves next to the Middle East, to make a lot of money and dominate the oil market. As a result, to gain more power internationally, they decided to unite under one banner and became a global superpower. They eventually build up their military and gobble up countries in the Caribbean and Central America, which put them at odds with the United States.

I guess the ship's CIWS must be out of rounds. Hostile aircraft flying right up to the Carrier without a care in the world. And I just noticed, some of the ships on the map are named after States. Did they recommission old Battleships?

This game came out in 2013, the USS Liberator that they’re defending is based on the USN’s new class of CVN, the Gerald R. Ford class. The first of its kind was also launched in 2013, pretty neat how they got a lot of exterior structure replicated.

I thought the level was cool back then After watching Navy related movies, games and Ace Combat Now I find it appalling that they managed to let bunch of MH-6 entered their airspace and endangered the crews and pilots like holy shit did you turned off the radars and lookouts? The CWIS are so useless!!! Why are the F-18s not taking off before the enemy approached them? Did all the CATs broke after probably launching 1 F-18 like Top Gun???? Ace Combat 5 had more realistic approach to the carrier battle despite having 4 pilots with Plot Armor and dozens of missiles

Real modern navy battle is ended within minutes with guided missiles salvo from vls or jets or torpedo from subs. You cant make a glorified war scene from that kind of battle

Whole battle where the enemy forces doesnt make sense until you realize the federation sees the carrier as worth capturing rather than destroying. They are advanced but capture of the last US nuclear super carrier would allow them mobility and access to one of the last of the US true capabilities of power ptojection. It's a serious threat but one worth capturing and risking lives for. It also means the federation knew at some point the us fleet would eventually attack and likely needed to close in meaning the federation had planned for capture of the fleet.

@@helios623 impossible, most aircraft carriers are deployed so they would have been spared. Remaining aircraft carriers are normally docked in either San Diego, Bremerton, Norfolk, or Pearl Harbor. Let's say we go by real life accurate to when this game was set US carrier numbers. Worst case scenario, we lose two carriers when the Orbital Rods hit San Diego but that requires the US to basically lose all common sense and put two carriers within attack range of enemy territory (Mexico) during a period of hightened tension. Realistically, the Federation destroy one carrier at port in San Diego. As for the rest, chalk it up to bad writing. Even with massive military upgrades the Federation could only realistically defend their coasts only and wouldn't be able to get into scraps with US carrier battle groups.

So none of the SM’s, CIWS, ESSM’s, SeaRAM’s are working in the entire task force nor is there a CAP with E-2 support that would’ve seen the assault coming from hundreds of miles out. But I guess the game would just end, the player would only see missiles launching and aircraft taking off, no firefight on the ship and generally be a pretty boring game.

😂😂😂those racks look like the racks in the Chiefs berthings when my ship was in shipyard For 2 years our Enlisted berthing was inhabitable and we got to sleep like kings they have so much more room!!!!!! And big huge lockers too! Only thing I see missing are all the Orange EEBD devices in those slots next to the racks AND THEY ALL EMPTY!!!!!!! THATS A MAJOR SAFETY VIOLATION😂😂😂😂 On a fully operational aircraft carrier

Well to be fair they are ghosts. They probably get the more spacious accommodations on ship. But lemme just tell you something, I think the berthing is the least of the inaccuracies and problems with this mission. There is like a million more things wrong.

Is it true that v22 osprey equip with missile? Because if it did where the hell the missile shoot out from

Bruh 1.the carrier strike group is so weak 2. why they didn't intercept them they have radars right 3. all of the ship in a carrier strike have ciws or any aa devices why they didn't shoot them 4. us carriers have three catapult which means they can launch 3 fa 18 or f35s 5. in a carrier strike group they have missile capable destroyer why they didn't launch missile This is just a game don't take it seriously but I'll take it seriously jk

Ikr, and even still if you want to just omit that fact, why are they still doing flight operations despite hostiles literally being on the deck? They should've launched fighters the second Federation Vessels and Aircraft appeared on radar. The Combat Information Centers aboard not just the carrier, but the rest of the strike group, must be asleep for the enemy to have already gotten close enough to the carrier before the carrier could even launch fighters.

I hated this game online I found it was pointless and riddled with hackers I shit you not this dude 2 days after this came out on PS3 I ran into guy with full gold everything every perk in the game I looked up the profile on leader board it was first with -10000000000 score how ever I will say art style they did a damn good job story aside for the cliffhanger ending it was good Extinction mode was fun to
