​@@taktak6784 Contrary to the general belief that appears in movies and cartoons objectively the "good guys" or the "lesser evil" don't usually prevail. The most powerful weapons known to date are lies and deception, good guys don't use those and truth is never more powerful. Its simply how people are, its easier to fool someone than to convince him that he has been fooled. Maybe when you get older and your PFC matures you'll realize what I talk about here, if not then sadly you aren't going to be the exception that proves the rule.

It's hiring someone with voice acting capabilities in 2 different languages (and preferably from that homeland too), who is then happy to be taken to around where the recording is taking place- and I'd assume that too is America. guess what? the first language of most Americans is American English. Needless to say, that wasn't even the point of my comment. It's an American company, no shit it won't do it all right. Also, consider the circumstances: Most of these other German voices 'sound' native- at least to majority of non-native speakers. It's also safe to assume more than 90% of the playerbase don't even speak german. It's not really a responsibility to make sure all received pronunciations fit how those who speak the native language would "usually" hear it- just have the language in there in a way that most people of any tongue will say sounds fine. It's unrealistic to expect that every German character- even when minor- will be from German background.

But for exemple, DICE made a lot of details to improve their game (i think about Battlefield V), for exemple, they went to a small airport in the middle of Arizona and they brought old planes (mitsubishi and Douglas i believe) and they flight them just to record the sound of the planes passing by, to put in in the game later. Do you think it was necessary ? No, since we have recording of those planes sound. Yet, they managed to take the time to such a small detail to make their game even better. This is devotion, something Activision lost by the time, now they only care about money. (I could say the same about battlefield 2042, but the team was not the same that made the previous battlefield)

The level of details in this game absolutely blows my mind. In the beginning you can see her nails has the "half moon" style manecure at the base, which was a popular nail style in French back in the 1940s. what the heck. I love these little things so much

@@SCARRIOR What is the reason of using high res models and graphics? + dynamic lighting? if minimum hardware specs for lots of users is outdated by 10+ years? devs won't release their product for small % of users who has 4090 , 64 gb RAM and 12 gen cpu. Graphics can be almost realistic novadays, but it will be very resource consuming stuff, and i don't even talk about size of such games, should be greater than 300/500 GB if we are talking about big openworld game.

I love kind of history WWII games or spy games like Splinter Cell, Call Of Duty or Ghost Recon but I can't denied about the graphics of this game is so beautiful and look real even the rain. I also love watching Hollywood action/ war movies when I see the game like this I always wanted to play.

CODs from almost 20 years ago were the same, if for 20 years the only thing you improve in the game is the graphics, something is wrong

I remember playing this mission. Pretty good. The campaign is all about atmosphere.

You know what is ironic ? The French Resistance is widely known for its fight against foreign occupation and for freedom. Yet after WWII, France cracked down on its colonies of Africa and Asia and never kept their promises of giving them freedom in exchange for their services in the French forces. Instead, attempts were made to silence their voices and war was declared on those who dared to rise for self-determination.

Can you tell me in which document, book, study, you've read or heard that France promised anything to their colonies? Because I thought that most colonial troops who fought for France did it by loyalty rather than by compromise, I mean, the Arkhis that were slaughtered by the FLN (National Front of Liberation in Algeria, a muslim/communist movement) in retaliation after the french left, where loyalists Algerians who also fought during WW2, and the reason there is a vietnamese diaspora in France is because all the loyalists had to flee the anti-french and anti-nationalist repression of the communist regime.

There is a problem for games to include swastikas in large amounts due to some countries not allowing games like that. Good example wolfenstein 2 can't remeber exactly what country I was banned in but it was due to the large amount of swastikas.

The problem is with ALL the research they STILL mix up insignia of the SS with insignia of the German Army on the SAME uniform.The SS officer on beginning has a black SS tunic with Wehrmacht HEER army collar tabs(patches) and a army cockade on his visor instead of the skull.And that's one of many mistakes,the girl you are playing and other female is wearing a cufftitle,females would never wear a blank cufftitle which 9/10 times is for the SD which is the SS security police basically that worked along side the Gestapo,females only would wear a cuff that says Reichschule for female SS graduates.Also females don't wear the skull on the cap only the eagle.The officer in grey is also wearing an SS eagle on his arm but army tabs on his collar,and an army cockade on his cap and army eagle makes no sense,same with Commandant.This is why these games aren't immersive for me as I collect this stuff and know what's what .

In the passport you get handed in the begining it says under place of birth "piz palü" which i think is a reference to inglorious basterds. If you remember the Bar scene where the guy gets called out for having a weird accent for a german officer, he also defends himself by saying hes from there.

Yup. Inaccurate black SS uniform, adorned with Heer collar litzen tabs with his hat sporting a regular army badge, and is wearing a dumbed down NSDAP armband.

Agreed. Underrated game overall. WW2 probably got played by me and my friends more than any other COD. We had a blast. I loved sniping with the Lee Enfield

They really didn't bother with any of the animations... Door opening, unlocking doors, stale camera movement, etc... Even the apples at 3:06 look from year 2000...

I think this game should be more near to AI as we enter into rooms and nobody notices our un-usual presence , when we get near to somebody , there should be doubt level rising , moving abruptly to differently directions should increase doubt level , dragging bodies to avoid get in search light , after all these this game will be real like hell

Man, ive played all the call of duty games and do not remember this at all.

Some strange choices... All the officers have the same decorations on. Many of the Germans wear hats and caps indoors for some reason. The commandant wears his gloves constantly, in what, judging from the roaring fire in the fireplace, has to be a very warm room. The graphics are decent, but it is the minor details that break immersion.

You missed the biggest ones too. All the German and Nazi uniforms are completely mixed up together. For example (even though there is many) the guard who checks your characters papers in the beginning. He's clearly an SS officer but he has German army ranks on his collar, which in reality should be SS collar ranks. Also, the armbands contain an iron cross, a German symbol which represented Germany for almost 100 years, even though they should show swastikas, cuz their Nazis. As someone who loves historical accuracy and especially uniforms of that time, it is very sad to see such an expensive game, blatantly obvious historical mistakes.

​@@wilhelmvonberghoff175 Of course. Then again, EVERY WWII (and derivative) game misses the mark with uniforms. But the behavioural details are not a matter of historicity, but of common sense.

23:10 That is a war crime. As long as enemy uniforms are discarded before combat starts, such a tactic is legitimate. Clearly, he did not.

This is ww2 man.. the United Nations and NATO didn't exist to try anyone for war crimes. The UN was established after the US victory and was utilized for the sole purpose of locking up SS officers and the like. That was for the genocide by the way. Not to mention, the Geneva convention was established in 1949, long after the war, so there were no such things as war crimes..

o keep the audience, in the monitization section of the videos, do not put a lot of ads on long videos, that is, on videos over 8 minutes, put 3 or 4. @@alesm2389 there are a lot of historical inaccuracies, not only that but there are some thing that don't make any sense at all, for example, at the time this mission was taking place, the allies were already entering Paris, so the Nazis being so "chill" in the building and with the lights on at night is ridiculous. Not only that but Heinrich wasn't the garrison in Paris, neither he was killed like that. Those are some of the dumb things that the developers left

@@alesm2389 The uniforms are woefully inaccurate. Take a look at the eagle, look like its carry a swastika? No, it's carrying a cross. Armbands are the same thing. Although it's allowed on the flags, either laziness or they didn't want backfire for including to much swastikas.

Sledgehammer never misses with enviorment looks and sounds, aw still is the best looking cod i seen on 8th generation

That was a legendary game 🤝😍

I always play through this campaign on every D-Day anniversary as my own way to honor them. This undercover mission is fun but a little too easy in my opinion. The undercover part was pretty much impossible to fail since your cover was in place and there were no real unsafe areas. Even the part in the Boss's office needed you to remember only one thing and either way he knows you so the whole thing is scripted. There was no real tension unlike the undercover mission in Black Ops: Cold War.
