Because back then the devs pay attention to detail even the small ones, also tv series like Generation Kill serves as influence and inspiration for the ingame USMC conversation and theme, a few reference can be seen during the mission

Its the bullet impacts, the blur on the screen from being suppressed,the subtle immersion from the ambient gunfire in the distance, the nice volumetric lighting, the great voice acting and dialogue as conti said, the gun recoil, and many others. All these add up to a very immersive video game combat experience. Much better than Battlefield four in my opinion.

Honestly, I like the war stories more than the campaign. Now don't call me a noobie to the franchise because I've played every Battlefield game since 1942. Except for the Bad Company series, the story in the campaigns were very boring and dull, but the gameplay in them was great! They need to just refine the stories in war stories, and make the gameplay real and engaging like they did in bf3. BF1 did a decent job with the war stories, and the new Last Tiger war story was absolutely amazing plot wise, so they just need to combine the short but sweet true stories of war with the amazing singleplayer gameplay from the previous battlefield games, and they would have a masterpiece.

Crysis came out in 2007 and was stunning, L.A Noire in 2011 same year as BF3... i wouldn't say this game was way ahead of its time. Still it was impressive.

It ran beautifully too, I didn’t have the most powerful computer when this game came out and I was able to crank the settings up pretty high and still get a good 60 FPS.

I noticed in that mission that the sniper spawns in right after the AT4 explosion and dies immediately (why you hear him scream so late) so you'll see their ragdoll fall from the building onto the street below.

The earthquake sounds at 02:38 and 06:27 are incredibly realistic. Earlier this year there was a big earthquake in Croatia 🇭🇷 where I live, and months of tremors after that, and these sounds in the game sound so realistic that I got the chills being reminded of those middle-of-the-night tremors. (The earthquake really made an impression on people because it never happens here)

I remember playing this game for the first time and thinking the graphics were absolutely amazing. They definitely re-release this with modern graphics.

Me during 8th Grade: Operation Swordbreaker Uprising Me during 9th Grade: Going Hunting Operation Guillotine Thunder Run Fear No Evil Night Shift Rock And A Hard Place Kaffarov Comrades The Great Destroyer That's what makes this game so special to me. These events happened during my middle school/high school days.

Bf3 campaign is MAJORLY underrated

Despite this game being pretty old it still looks amazing. I think it has to do with how alive and smooth all the NPC’s and player’s actions are. I loved this game and have many fond memories playing the multiplayer; my favourite map was the subway tunnel because it was so chaotic! Campaign was super fun too. Thank you for uploading 🙂

Raze I think it’s cause Montes was an Navy EOD in the game or something, since those guys are often borrowed by Marine squads. Captain in the Marines are equivalent to LT in the navy(O3) so maybe he just messed them up lol.

@@matthewjones39 i dont think soldiers fight 50 enemies alone, do fist fightings with terrorists, die if they get out some defined line, magicaly lose their weapons when they are forced to use snipers, jump in a moving metro with a pistol and stop terrorists, are forced to crouch and kill one especific enemy and die for some reason if he gets to close (lost one save because it), die for walking, die for dont follow the script, shot explosives and the scenarie dont break (Bad Company otherwise...), get the weapons pushed to down for some invisible force in a convenient moment and gets "surprised" by a enemy, GET A BUILDING FALLING OVER HIM AND STAY ALIVE...

Surprisingly, now that I think about it, there’s not too many Middle East based war games. I can only think of this (BF3) and Spec Ops: The Line. I mean, I don’t remember the MW games too well, but those went all over and ended with makarov hanging. Sure there’s missions in games in this area, but at this time I’m early 2010s, they mostly went to Russia or usa in the end.

Well you could argue BF3 went all over the place too. From here, to Paris, to Azerbaijan, and a bit of New York at the end. The original Modern Warfare was about the same, being set in the Middle East, Russia, Azerbaijan again, and a cargo plane. I vaguely remember quite a few Middle East shooters coming out during the PS2/Xbox era, when the War on Terror really kicked off, but most of them are pretty mediocre games not worth remembering. Really hyped to try Six Days in Fallujah tho

Best missions of any BF, actually going to play this tonight.

BF 3&4 are the most epic warfare game ever, with full respect to CoD MW 1,2,3 & BO 1,2
