Yeah, Battlefield game tactics is, you see someone hiding in a building? Run your tank right through it to demolish the building around you to kill him. I can't believe this doesn't work in real life, it's flawless though!

I’m glad a fellow tanker shares my frustration of the detonation parts. Even if anyone for whatever reason is dismounting to see what the crunchies need, it’s going to be the loader not the tc.

You don’t need to laze for a gun run but you can have a laser designation as your method of marking for the CAS mission you call in. It’s line 7 (line 4 if it’s a helicopter)

You might want to try Squad. They got Canadian factions too with Leopard 2A6, though you'll need your own crews to man the tank since it is a milsim type game

3:52 but it does look like an Advanced Multi-Purpose round that is supposed to consolidate HEAT, MPAT, canister, and Obstacle Reduction rounds simply by switching the settings.

Yeah but even with that, the sights still were indexed for AP so the aim would be a bit off. Either way, I think it just goes to show that they didn't go **that** far into the realism of the tank.

Just some facts because I'm bored: With the entire thing of crystal clear thermal sights, they do exist but to a certain point. If you trained on something like the Leopard 2, the thermal sights for the gunner most likely haven't been changed at all and are still bad (maybe in recent variants they have changed) but you have a good fire control system to make up for it. With the commander I'm pretty sure they have a higher quality thermal optic which makes sense because he/she is one the looking around, finding targets, and overall telling the crew what to do. A good example of a vehicle that has great thermal sights would be the CV90 IFV if I remember correctly

It says in his channel bio he operated the 2A4's & 2SG's which are basically an uparmoured 2A4, so yeah probably.

Also, abrams does use a 3x. Usually we go from 3x when scanning to 13x when identifying.

The "minefield" you blow up after dismounting, was a MICLIC.

New to your content so I don't really know what tank you used to crew, but in the one I did, we would definitely get warnings on our screens (not on the sight opticts though) if something broke from taking a hit or just on its own. It was called a VIS (Vehicle information system) and it was pretty neat. Made maintenance and fixing borken parts that much easier when the vehicle would tell you what was broken. To a point of course, it couldn't tell you if a trackbolt was loose or whatever.

A-10s have a PAVE PENNY laser spot tracker. The guns don't need lasing, but you can use a designator to point a spot out to the pilots

You do get a warning if anything is wrong with the vehicle. You’ll get a system warning or a system failure on the screen if a module isn’t functioning properly. Low hydraulic pressure? Beep beep beep. You forgot to hook up your battle management system? Beeep beep beep. Automatic Fire suppression system engaged? Beep beep beep. At least in all the current vehicles and shit does it. Idk about in 2011 tho. But this game is supposed to be set in the 2020’s.

I mean, HEAT is also one kind of APs, so there is that. If you want APDS/APFSDS specifically, it's called Sabot for US tank crew.

ERA however is not a thing on these T-72s, seeing as they are depicted as being T-72M1s, those being ever so slightly "improved" versions of the base T-72A model meant for export. I believe the M830A1 HEAT MP-T of the Abrams would have no real issue penetrating the armour of a T-72M1, and if not the UFP or turret, at least the sides and Lower Glacis. Could be wrong, who knows. 73 Easting was mainly a dart slinging fest so we can't use much reference from there.

@@Renegade416 indeed it can pen the sides and rear but the front is still invulnerable since it has composite armor there that is specifically designed to defeat HEAT rounds

I prefer to terrorize the urban areas from the outside just within zoom range with a tank tbh

@@akumu9188 not as accurate as I think one should be cause most times a tank gets damaged they repair from the inside and so on Wich isn't possible in most if not almost all tanks due to the way their built plus you don't have infantry escorts in urban areas nor do you meet resistance from infantry

An RPG-7 with a Tandem Charge could still be pretty dangerous to a tank, it can bypass ERA and has enhanced penetrative capabilities. Still not a dedicated Anti TANK AT weapon, but could cause much more than just a detracking/mobility kill.

Hey uh. He served in the Leo2Sg. Which is Singaporean. No Singaporean Armour Elements have ever been deployed so he never been in battle or have PTSD.

So, the basic feelings im seeing here are... Well, that operation was brain dead in general

Not to mention, the CITV view seems positioned really low for the Abrams. I say CITV, because that side is the wrong side for the gunners sight. Unlike the leopard 2, CITV and gunners sight are on opposite sides.

What you didn't realize the Abrams has a super secret window through the front of the mantlet? But yeah the view is fictional. The GPS is forward of the TC. the CITV is forward of the Loader's hatch and the GAS is low right of the Gun so none of the views line up.
