Using UV leak detection dye to find a/c system leaks

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

A video short demonstrating how to inject a/c system UV dye to aid in the detection of leaks using a black light. The procedure can be done on ANY a/c system permitted that you are using the correctly spec'd UV dye. Most UV dyes are compatible with R-12 and r-134a systems however, r-1234yf refrigerants will need a different type of compatible dye.

Am I the only one that's going to notice what you did absolutely terribly wrong... That hose is full of air. And you just pumped all that are into the system. The proper thing to do would have been to use an injection device that is meant for this specific thing. It's not that expensive and it threads on there to where once it's under pressure you can then add it into the system without putting all that air. Although I suppose if you're going to be bleeding the entire system anyway to find where the leak is and fix it I guess it doesn't matter
