I would think a main use would be for controlling remotely while the camera is controlled remotely with another app, when the camera is set up at a location where you don't want to be behind the camera.
Super cool and useful video! Really like the b rolls, very well explained! Cheers!
I have basically the same setup. Just no bluetooth adapter and a rode ntg3 shotgun mic. I just have to start using it. I was hesitant about getting the adapter because the reviews in the apple App Store are low for the app. Glad to see someone using it. I might go buy the adapter now.

Thanks for commenting. Great to also hear someone else using a similar setup. Cheers
Thanks for the tips
Go video workflow. What about timecode setup?
What kind of cable is used from the converter to the receiver?
can i connect to iphone and use the audio to the iphone camera straight? without the need of the internal recording from the f3?
Can u stop and record seperate time or does it stopp bout track
So you can listen to what is going into the F3 via the app? This would be a great way to get a safety track directly into the camera if your recorder is near your subject for those of us who don't have lavs with internal recording. I just love this little recorder!

Hi yes that is correct. Yes it is a great recorder!

@@blakeanderson3704 To be clear, you can NOT listen to the F3 via the app. You have to connect your headphones directly to the F3. I've found that this makes the bluetooth dongle almost entirely pointless. If you're close enough to the recorder to have headphones plugged in, just start recording there and avoid the hassle of constant bluetooth reconnects which is a huge time waste on shoots.
Hello, is there a way to record calls from an iPhone ?
hi how can I film or record video with rode wireless go ll from the front camera of Samsung s21 ultra without any issues. and record from 2 transmitters to get stereo sound and the best sound quality?
@blakeanderson3704

Good question. The Rode wireless allows you to record on the device. On your Samsung camera, you'd just have to replace the audio with the wireless go audio in post
I mean, this provide you with opportunity to have 3 audio sources? Like can u use both lav from røde?
@blakeanderson3704

Well yeah with rode you can get two separate channels on device and receiver and with the zoom two inputs yes
Does the audio record just to the zoom? Or are you able to record to your phone as well?

Hi just on the Zoom recorder yes (unfortunately)
When the rode wireless plugged in the xlr is clipping you have no advantage of the 32bit right? I saw a setup where the lav sender of the rode is plugged in the xlr and the receiver is on the line out of the f3. So you have the 32bit dynamic range for the lav and the compressor output to the receiver. What do you think about that setup?

Sorry I think I got confused. You can only put the receiver in the xlr and then from the f3 into the camera. But I got the problem that the audio from the rode transmitter is clipping (I've already turned in pad mode). Do you know a solution to take advantage of the 32bit for the rode wireless go ii?
@blakeanderson3704

@@MIMCKMedia yes the rode wireless ii records in 32 bit float. I believe the audio transmitter when plugged into the Zoom f3 record the same 32 bit audio. There are many options. Hope this helps

Hi okay good to know. I assumed that was the case. Thank you for clarifying
so if you can directly monitor with the bluetooth adapter from the app, are you able to directly monitor your audio with airpods? if you so desired?
@blakeanderson3704

Yes I believe that is possible
@HikingWithCooper

No, that is not possible. It does not transmit audio, just the waveforms.
Is it possible to directly connect the Zoom F3 to your phone and control it with the app or does that require a bluetooth connection?

Yes a Bluetooth connection
i have problem that when im in out of bluettoh range.. app disconnects, adapter light goes off and never connects again. this really sucks? Do you have this problem?
@HikingWithCooper

Nope, need to reboot and reconnect. I've found that the bluetooth works up to maybe 15' direct line outdoors. Pretty useless feature. Frankly, any film production bluetooth is garbage. I don't know how much time I've wasted watching my Aputure light trying to connect. Great marketing, terrible execution.

How do we get the app to stay connected to the f3? I left my phone 10 ft away from the f3 and the app still disconnected.

Good question. I mean it is Bluetooth, so I assume it’s the power of that signal.
