    Oh yes this really works, I used to use the zoom H4n and when recording audio at weddings, where I used -20db line to mic level filters and the results were poor at best. I purchased the F3 and now feed the xlr output from the DJ's speaker directly into the F3. In post the levels can be easily reduced to very clean and clear audio. Also if the level is low, it can be raised to the level you need. One of my better choice purchases.

    I am so happy I picked up the Zoom F3. I captured a lot of audio tests with the F3, and I was always able to get clean audio every time. It's a no brainer, especially for run and gun and/or low budget and indie productions.

    Just picked this up. Well worth the money. One thing about the bluetooth adapter and the app is you're able to see the waveforms and control device. You will lose manual input when connected. Another feature is timecode when paired with UltraSync Blue unit.

    Hey Jay. Thanks for the video. Quick question. What if you have input 1 and 2 plugged in and also outputting via the 3.5 out to your camera. What kind of audio can you expect to be baked in? Will input 1 be on channel 1 and input 2 on channel 2?

    Sorry, I watched the whole thing but I’m not sure I understand, will the f3 still record in 32bit float even when connected/synced with the camera? Or to use the 32bit float you have to record separately and sync in post?

    how does this work with voice isolation ? Would the quality of the audio be better when compared with lower bits?

    So far using this recorder for over a year now, I have had zero issues using 32bit float combining the post workflow for voice isolation!

    @@ImJasonAnthony I'm sorry I meant to say, without using the built in voice isolation of the DJI mic 2, how would V1 mic and v2 mic compare if voice isolation was added using DaVinci resolve. For example, I use my mics in a gym and sometimes the speaker is right above. When I use voice isolation in davicni is does a good job but would it do a better job if I had a 32 bit float microphone ?

    How do you sync with video?

  • @ImJasonAnthony

    @ImJasonAnthony

    Жыл бұрын

    I do it the OG way, make sure camera has a mic and then use a Slate (clapper) or give a loud clap to the boom and on camera mic. Then in davinci I use their match waveform tool that automatically syncs it!

    The background noise is very annoying. Is it your neighbour playing loud music? Protip: Try recording; when it's more quiet. The small clip where you used the shotgun microphone on your camera was much better, because the annoying background noise was masked somewhat. The reverberation in the room was far less annoying than your neighbours music or whatever it was.

    @@ImJasonAnthony ...you are good at talking on camera, not denying that. But you need to lose the background music, or at least reduce its volume.
