Using the New Machines | Day on the Dairy

Tuesday October 8, 2019 - Dad is away and I'm working on some different things around the farm. I get to use all four on the new pieces of equipment we acquired last week (two permanent and two temporary). Thank you for watching.
Big thanks to Messick's for the New Holland skid loader and Kubota Sidekick RTV. Here is a link to their KZread channel: / neilrmessick

My uncle's farm was between Titusville and Oil City. I knew we were close when we saw the Dairy Queen. Dairy cows for days. He left it to his side of the family's kids. They sold most of it off and became drunks with nice cars and mountains of debt. Sad end to farm that had been in the family for 120 yrs. WE NEED TO GET YOU A MOUNTAIN DEW SPONSORSHIP! Keep showing THE DEW in every video and IT WILL HAPPEN!

Could you make a video that focuses on the growth and development of the cows, and what things your farm does to maximize their health and productivity. Like are pregnant cows not being milked? Are they dry cows? How long are they milked before re-breeding. How resting, care and comfort affect milk production, and things like that. Thanks for making perfectly straightforward videos. Always great to watch.

Spray on Citric Acid after first rinse, (mix pwd with water and spray on, let it activate for 5 min then wash grime off) it will dissolve the other grime on your walls. If you want to do a test before purchasing packages of citric acid, try spraying on some lemon juice. We implemented citric acid into our cleaning routine as it worked so great on the plastics. Just kept a sprayer on hand, and spray on surfaces after first rinse is done. Also, our kids, born country kids but now live in town, love watching your videos!

I,too like the real sounds. I love to hear cattle bawling good and loud. Growing up, my Grandfather had just heifers and steers, because a big bull lived just over the hill. He just released the cow and tried to keep up with her until she got to the next farm. But getting them back was a ride in the truck!

Another great video once again highlighting the challenges and definite rewards of hard honest work. For that pressure washing on the walls etc I would pre-soak with spray nine diluted in hot water and use your turbo nozzle again. I’m not a sales rep or have any connection to that company, just that I’ve used that product for over 35yrs on so many applcations and it never disappoints. It is pricier than bleach but disinfects well and if bought in bulk and diluted it is comperable.
