Using the CENTRE LEFT TURN LANE || PRO DRIVING TIPS || Watch MORE TIPS on this CHANNEL
How to use the CENTRE LEFT TURN LANE: The centre lane of some roads is used as a two-way left-turn lane. This lets left-turning vehicles from both directions wait for a chance to turn without holding up traffic. To use a two-way, left-turn lane, follow these steps:
Signal and move into the centre lane shortly before your turn. Slow down.
Carefully move forward to a spot opposite the road or driveway where you want to turn.
Make your turn when the way is clear.
Remember that vehicles from the opposite direction also use this lane to turn left. As they wait in front of you, it may be hard for you to see oncoming traffic. Only go when you are sure the way is clear. These left-turn lanes are not to be used for passing.

Thanks for the compliment.
The dotted lines on both side of the center lane means you can leave the lane from either side when it’s safe .
Thanks to your videos i passed my first dtiving test yesterday .a lot of love from israel. Sorry for my bad English.

What if there is a lane like this that takes you to the highway? Do you stay in the lane to the left and then put your signal on to get over?
I believe the two-way left-turn lane with solid lines on the outside and dotted lines on the inside are the USA equivalent… I have not seen any on Canada and they don’t appear on the MTO as far as I’ve seen. 3:24
Thank you for the video 🥰❤️

Can I take U turn center left lane and switch left lane direction to right lane direction? Its mean I will go from left to right or right to left direction ?
Thank you for your video, it is useful. To answer your question, one can only use the two way centre lane for 300 feet.

Can you plz show the new Markham G2 drive test route?
Wait so can you use this line to turn right too?
I have a question. During my drive test, when I come to a stop to park the car do I have to put the car in park then release the parking brake or do I need to release the parking brake while in drive and then shift to park? Thanks.

Hi Ayaan! It is recommended that you put the car in park, pull the handbrake and then take your foot off the brake pedal. Hope this helps.
I don’t think there’s an exact legal limit that you can drive on the left lane for, but you are supposed to use it as a turning lane and not an overtaking or driving lane. You should ideally turn into the first or second available exit from when you’ve entered to lane so you don’t block the lane from oncoming traffic trying to turn left.

I don't know what the laws there are, but in the United States you are not permitted to use that lane as an endless lane of travel. It varies from state to state, but it is illegal to travel in that lane for more than a couple hundred feet.

Hey, quick question I saw your parallel parking video and you said to make one turn to the right once you start reversing and that’s what I usually follow but I saw another video of yours “parallel parking with a van between pylons” and you said to make a turn and a half. Can you please tell me which method to follow because I have my g2 test this Monday at the Brampton location.
@TorontoDrivers

Hi Hina! Good observation! The turning of the wheel depends on the size of the car. So, if you are driving a van then use the method shown in the van video and if you are driving a sedan then use the other method. All the best for your test!

@@TorontoDrivers so like for any suv? I’m gonna take a Hyundai Tucson for my test. Also the handbrake is at the bottom by the brake will that be an issue for the test?
what is the lane you are on before getting into the centre lane called
Answer to your contest .. we cant drive in centre more than 200 feet and we can’t use centre for passing other cars.. it’s rule in law

Hello, I'm from israel, watching you and learning a lot from you. I've always wondered about the red wire on your hand, here in israel, according to the Jewish Kabbalah, red wire on the wrist is a mascot for saving and protecting and i have it also.

I am glad my videos are helping people in Israel! To answer your question, the red bracelet is indeed for protection. It was tied by my daughter on Rakshabandhan (an Indian festival). Raksha in Hindi means Protection and Bandhan means a Knot. So, it is a knot of protection or a promise of protection. :)
Please make a video of the new G2 route in Mount joy testing center.

I would love to however, I am afraid, I do not know the route. :(
Don’t think there is legal limit but I don’t think we should use it unless you want to make turn for the first or second incoming exit!
Can we take a U turn through this lane ?
The center left lane should only be used briefly for turning, the maximum distance your allowed to be in it is about 200-300 ft.

How do give signals when you are at the centre lane at 1:32
Who has the right of way on centered left turing lane especially in a uncontrollable T intersection.
I can't speak for all states but I can tell you for a fact that the Texas driver manual specifically states that you CANNOT use this lane for passing or for merging, only turning.
Using a center turn lane as a merge lane is not legal in Nevada…and you can only drive in a center turn lane for up to 100 feet before the turn
Thanks I turned after the arrows and failed
Hey harminder ! I have a question to ask .. Like you know guleph area and drive test route.. Like When we getting out of plaza or building , if there is centre for left turn lane … and we have make left turn while getting out building or plaza .. do we need enter first centre .. then to first lane .. or we can skip centre and go on driving lane Is mandatory to enter first to centre first while giving test ?
I think we can't drive the whole length of the center turning lane. We just have to try to drive a few meters before our destination. Since this center turning lane is for the use of both left and right hand traffic

Question: what if 2 vehicles enter this lane from opposite directions at the same time and are approaching each other, but not at the point where they want to exit yet? Does any one of them have right of way? Or do we just hope that at least one of them is courteous enough to just exit.
@TorontoDrivers
2 жыл бұрын
Very good question! Since they are both turning in the opposite directions and won't be interrupting each other, the right of way doesn't matter here. Hope this helps. Cheers!
200 meters
I know there is a limit but I'm not sure how long that distance is. it might be 150 to 200 ft

All the very best, Jannat! My prayers are with you.
200 ft… is the limit on centre lane
No..you cant because there are also cars going in left side..there are arrows for side turns
You couldn't use it for normal driving lane right. Only for basically crossing the road over lanes. Since other drivers may want to use it coming from the other way. I still nervous about those lanes, I mean people call them suicide lanes.. makes them sound scary. Putting your life risk to use them almost. You make or look so easy lol
I don’t think we should drive for the whole entire lane , that’s the fast lane. As soon as we see a vehicle in our rare view mirror we should go back to the right lane when it’s safe to do so .
Honestly when I took my test I failed it cause of the two way left turn lane. All because the dashed lines were inside and the solid lines were outside. So I thought I couldnt enter it. I hate driving.
Best channel ever , thankyou ,how good you are❤️🔥⚘️🥲😊, need more videos like this You explain in very good way through video ,proper chart and your teaching still fix in my mind and blood❤️🔥
