I would definitely like to see a video on relative dates and how they can be utilitzed!

Great video, as always. Random question: how do you get animations popping out behind you. I'm guessing it's not a green screen.

Thanks Joe! I can't speak to HOW, because it's not my specialty. Our amazing team of editors handle this for us! We don't use a green screen, but they have their ways...

Gareth what app do you use to record these videos? I like the way it zooms when you hover over certain element on the screen. This feature looks exciting. I think I can use it for purchase and work orders I’m astounded by how fast your brain works.

Thanks! We use a software called Camtasia to record, but I'm not sure what software our editing team uses to edit the videos

I would love to see a video on setting the relative due dates! I can only seem to set them relative to the initial start date. But I would love to set due dates based on the "completed" date of the previous task. Is this possible?

Cool feature! I tried doing this to link tasks and subtasks (that are housed within the same table), but it doesn't seem to work, can you do a video on how to do this, if this is indeed possible?

Interesting idea - so your sub tasks are within your tasks table? I'd normally expect these to be broken into separate tables, especially now with the List View type.

Hi Gareth, thank you for sharing this great tool! I immediately started using it, but I came across an issue: creating records is limited to 100 records per base, why? We are a small company, and need this feature to automate our processes, and cant go to Enterprise account. So I was wondering about ways to keep using the Record Template feature beyond the 100 record limit. The issue is that we need to save different working templates for different cases in our business processes but we dont actually use them all the time, or even at the same time. Having a record template is for us a way to have transparent processes saved, and they get rolled out when triggered. So we actually need to save way more options for Record Templates than 100. 1. Idea Create different other bases with each 100 record template records, and sync the bases after the templates were used. This can already work, but it seems a bit complicated 2. Create Record Templates only with Automation and delete the template after it was used The idea is to not save Record Templates, but instead create the template in the moment it gets selected (by any condition, like single select field). In that moment we would tell Airtable to create a specific record template, with the pre-specified tasks and to run all the tasks, and after to delete the template again. This way more templates could be pre-defined but dont actually get saved. Any ideas if this is possible, with scripting? Looking forward to your feedback and ideas Best Yonatan

Thanks for the comment - I think I'd explore option #2 here and build automations around this process. You can consider a looping automation that leverages a template to repeat a step. We plan to do a video on this topic shortly!

Airtable comes up with new features done in half ass manner. Like lists - I was excited in the beginning before finding too many limitations (no freezing columns, no visual separation between rows at different levels making it not friendly on the eyes, sharing features). Come on airtable, are you waiting for some smart suit or other app to take over you

This video was helpful but it would've been nice to know this feature was only for Pro and Enterprise plans at the begining to save time. 😔😔

And Airtable, please fix permissions feature, I had my colleague changing the type of the field by accident, and I had hundreds of views filtered using that field. At first I thought, ah, I will just go back to the previous version, but then I realised, all the views I have created have been shared with many people, so going back to the previous version would make all the links useless, so I spent 2 hours fixing manually each views filters. AT have a great potential but still quite underdeveloped. Probably will look into Smartsuit.

About permission, why as an admin I can’t block anyone from deleting or changing the type whilst allowing to edit the cells?????? If I could I would be spending hours fixing that silly mistake made by my not so young and not so techie colleague.
