Do you know any good software to remove shadows from my stl file? I have done this exact method (thanks to you🙏) and have had issues trying to capture an image and getting shadows in it where I don’t want them

when i use measure tool on the model it didn't give me the real measure that the model has how can i fix this ? I want exactly dimensions

Sorry the Polycam simply does not work. I did the same steps but only got flakes, and none of the editing features worked. I tried to crop the photo, but it did not respond

how do you scan the bottom of the object? everything is always cut off from the ground.

that’s a good question lol I usually scan stuff with a flat bottom, but I’ll definitely experiment with some rounder objects!

How do you cleanly remove the background noise and get a perfect base

I used PrusaSlicer to split the model right above the extra parts around the bottom and get a clean base!

When I press done it says saving data for ages

I haven't had that issue, unfortunately. Are you keeping the app open while it uploads and starts processing?

@@Kibz32 awesome and I'm glad the video helped! are you looking to edit the scan? if you're on windows I'd just recommend Microsoft 3D Builder and for Mac I'd go with MeshMixer

These apps are awful….tried all of them, paid them and used the 15 Pro Max.

So basically it's crap
