Using PLAYDOUGH for Speech and Language Therapy
Playdough is such a fun and flexible activity, I always have a few tubs in my therapy bag. It's useful for children of all ages and stages. Here's 5 of my favourite ways to use playdough to support speech, language and communication.

I hide small objects in the playdough and we talk about what they found and pulling stretching picking it apart.
You gave great information for helping children to develop language skills.

You might like to choose a different activity if she's still mouthing things.
is there any tip for when my autistic toddlers constantly mix all the different colors of playdough into one giant ball? they love to watch the colors blend together, but i have to buy a new set of playdough every week! and even when they follow the instructions during play and they dont mix the colors, after the end of the session they always want to ruin the playdoh !! hahaha. I dont want to deprive them of the joy but it gets me thinking a lot if i will be using playdough for a session so often

I work one on one with kids and find giving a choice between only two things helps. Put away a colour before moving onto the next. You could also try moving on to modelling clay when ready.
