I'm sure you know those light bulbs in your ceiling lights are compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) rather than light-emitting diodes (LEDs) or incandescent ones. CFLs are great for what they were - power saving compared to the old-school tungsten filaments, fit in regular light fixtures so you didn't need straight tube holders, built-in starters, and (assuming you got the ones that started out dim and gradually got brighter over the span of a few minutes) lasted basically forever. I assume those are the ones you have, since they take a while to get up to full brightness. Yes, they contain an infinitesimal amount of mercury (all fluorescents do), but nobody's saying to sniff the broken ones. Anyway, the world has mostly moved on to LED lightbulbs, and in an establishment like a supermarket (or Internet Cafe), straight-tube fluorescents/LEDs make much more sense, but eh. Depending on what you're going for, you can always put the partitions up in between the computers, which gives it an office or library carrel feel. It can also cut down on the casual cheating in competitive RTS/FPS sessions. And when you're surfing stuff you shouldn't surf in public. As for computer casings that don't have a tempered glass side panel to show off all the RGB bling, just put those on the floor, they'll be fine and you'll have much more desktop real estate.
