New DnD magic item, Silenced Tactical Wand (very rare, attunement required). Magic attack rolls get +1, spells casted using the wand make no noise, verbal components of spells are not required, and you are not revealed after casting if you are hidden or invisible.

The problem isn’t and never was spiffy “Deadpool” dialogue. The problem was always lack of awareness and it being out of place. I love the banter here! ❤

@@marley7868 In my experience that doesn't actually happen much, at least not these days. Too much risk of being dismissed/censured/sued. This is mainly based on working in a single hospital, so it may vary in other places, but I suspect not.

@@jic1 it's still a general practice to my knowledge in several fields granted I know damnwell it is only to be done when there's no witnesses who would complain but hey maybe your state or hospital are just hard*ssed wouldn't be suprised but I also say that trying to police speach in a stressful environ across the board is on par with king sisyphus

Tom Francis always knocks it out of the park (And often out of the window too 😛) All the games he has made since he quit game journalism and became an indie dev have been superb, and very addictive. Been waiting for this one to come out for ages now, since he first announced it, and it looks just as great as promised

Sounds like some inspiration here from the Dresden Files book series staring everyone's favorite wizard PI, Harry Dresden. If this genre interests you you're in for a reading treat.

The Dresden files were my introduction to urban fantasy. I loved them. Unfortunately, when I started to read them again, the wonder was gone (obviously) and I couldn't get past all the whining of Harry anymore. But it's definitely a fantastic series to be read at least once!

@@exilenl Shit. The Dresden Files is probably the only urban fantasy series that gets better with rereads. Not only jokes you missed, but callbacks, foreshadowing and subtle character work. Jim Butcher is the real wizard, by being able to write such a fast paced, fun and deep story. Early Harry is a bit annoying because you know how good he gets later on, but the series is worth it.

Combat Theology can either be "D&D Paladin" or "The Silt Verses" and I think that's a really funny tonal difference.

I've had this game wishlisted for a few years, and having seen this I find myself wishing for a super-wishlist. Good humor, fun puzzles, interesting story, really cool setting? Almost everything I've ever wanted right there.

This developer made Heat Signature, which excels at procedural generation and pushing you to think on your feet, so hopefully this one is more like that and less like a puzzle game.

Nah, the demo also had a second chapter, and if that's anything to go by, it's a continuation of the puzzle game fights. I personally enjoy it, but I can see how it's not everyone's jam.

Thank you so much for the effort you put into this video splat! It was great! Okay, I am not a big fan of tactical puzzle games like Into the Breach. But the setting of this, I’m a huge Shadowrun fangirl and I’ve had that exact same tac ops wizard fantasy before. The dialogue is what sold me though, I know a lot of people don’t like that style and I get it but I do. I loved the dialogue in this, the voices splat gave them, and I had a big smile on my face the whole time. I can’t wait to try this.

I've been hyped about this game for years. Love Suspicious Developments' style with Heat Signature and Gunpoint. So excited to install this demo and give it a whirl finally!

Really keen on this one. I personally love Into the Breach, and this has some amazing energy and style. I am sitting next to my wife and she started to do your intro when I started the video.

@@0num4I 100% agree! I grew up playing Advance Wars - one of my fav games ever until I played Into the Breach. I think Into the Breach is heads and shoulders above the competition right now. This game does look really cool.

Honestly I don't see myself ever playing this game, but the wizard-spec-ops theme is so good, so on point, I still want to know more despite not wanting to play.

game's dialogue is really reminiscent of marvel, but instead of being awful and cringe it actually succeeds at being funny

Everybody stop. This is perfect. The game is great and you play it perfectly. From reading dialogue to your accent to the way you talk walk and shake it. i like the idea of Into the Breach, but in most maps there's really only one solution that doesn't end in your units getting killed, or losing too much stuff. This kinda looks neat, though...don't think I've ever seen a modern, tactical setting with wizards, and i like the idea

This has been on my Wishlist for forever.

You can see that the big ship in the start has the name "KARABOUDJAN". That's the exact same name for Captain Haddock's boat, from Tintin.

This game has been on my radar for YEARS. I'm glad that it's finally getting a demo out there for you and what I've seen makes me glad I put it on my wishlist all that time ago.

HA ha ha excellent! They are finally picking up on the Tactic Wizardry! Great premise and lots of fun. I remember running some D&D campaigns where I would mix Fantasy with Sci Fi. Kind of like GURPS but with different rules and dice. Wizards carving their staves and wands into hand held projectile weapons have been around the circuit for a few decades. There are no games that really hit that vein of fantasy yet. Hopefully this game will open those flood gates.

Damn, as a huge fan of Shadowrun Dragonfall, wish the devs wouldn't have sold to Paradox to then create filler trash, and would have made Shadowrun Tactics that would have been just like this. As always the indies are having our back strong at least in this case. Hilarious dialog writing.

I have this vague memory of seeing the proto version of this from years ago, although I think it was Witches, and I remember one of them being a tank/healer. I like this crew too though. Also, you've got to stop feeling bad about taking down a group of armed thugs who put innocents in danger. Badges don't make them the good guys.
