Using my Rigid Heddle Loom to Weave Stunning Curtains for my Studio

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The window in my studio has been empty for long enough! It is time to weave curtains to dress it up! And I'm using my rigid heddle loom to do so. In this video, I'm presenting the project and all the relevant information about it. This means the yarn, the dimensions and the pattern. In an up-coming video, I will be making the final touches to the curtains and finally hang them up.

Crazy the difference one pick out of six makes. I guess in reality it affects the two picks next to it, but it's really a stunning effect with such a simple pattern. The fabric looks great, too, just see-through enough to see the loom while unwinding but definitely occulting from a distance.

I had to work with what I had on hand and ended up altering the pattern to have 5 sections (4 stripes) on a 12.5 heddle with 8/2 cotton. The baby is due next month and it is very hot here, so I think this will be a lovely nursing cover for the mother to use. Thank you so much for your tutorial!

It depends on the project! For the curtains in this video, I used my 15 dpi and I singled the warp threads. I have also used my 10 dpi and my 12.5 dpi for other projects. When I did, I doubled the warp threads in the heddle.
