This is exactly everything I’ve ever wanted to add to GTA 3, the new side objectives, planes, helicopters, interiors without the awkward camera angle. There is just too much to say about how good this video and remaster is. This is faithful and easily better than the official 10 year anniversary remake of this game. Nice job!

The definitive edition looks better. My only problem is the glitches that weren't in the original games, lack of original soundtracks, and the new character models. But yes it is a lazy port and they should have added new interiors.

Finally a GTA III tribute suite (of mods) that appreciates the game for what it is and just makes it better. I dislike when others try to make it GTA V with a skin or drown out the game’s quality with out of place features. This is a truly iconic set-up and as someone who grew up with III I am over-joyed to see this video.

After seeing some hate comments on the games graphics....don't forget that the game is as old as some of the guys who typed these hate comments .... #respect the retro

@@Roy3.16 Claude looks more jacked up than he does in the actual game, the textures are still super low poly and blocky, cars look no different, lighting is still bad (except for the sun), and the character models look no different

This turned out great ,you actually managed to improve the graphics of this game without ruining it's dark and gritty aesthetic

F**k GTA V mods with GTA 3. This is a true evolution. Respect+ for your video. And it deserves an original remake!

High respect for the absolute madman who did all these mods. It's really good thing to play III again with not only better graphics but also improved gameplay.

I’d also like to suggest the “Gang Wars” mod. Gives the player new objectives and more things to do in Liberty City by participating in the gang wars.

Feels more authentic than the remaster mann I wanted to jump back into the world of gta 3 so badly and rockstar just ffed it all up

Never got to finish GTA 3 unlike vice city and San Andreas etc but this would an awesome way to replay a childhood classic

so who's here after seeing what a failure "definition edition" is? i never played gta3 because i was late to it and the control scheme seemed archaic by the time i got my hands on it, so i never played it. i was looking forward to finally playing gta 3 but my hopes got dashed. i hope i can get these mods to work

Haven’t seen the whole video just yet, but had to pause just to say that the intro was absolutely amazing! Nothing groundbreaking, but it shows that I’m already in for a treat just like an intro should ... glad I rolled up a little somethingsomething for this one, that will be the only thing grounding, and protecting my mind from being blown all over the living room!

GTA 3 1.0 who?? I absolutely NEED this mod and I’ll never be able to look at the original the same. My biggest pet peeve about the Defective Edition was the laziness about the dark gloomy weather that defines this game in its entirety but it’s all here. Seriously LOVE this.😄

Some mod websites actually have an option to download the installer or to download the zip file and install the mods manually. For example GTAAll

Rockstar needs to take notes. This is the remaster they should have released. Instead of attacking the mod community they should work with them in producing a high quality product.

The thing that sets gta games apart is the mod support. You can even play such an old gta game with a totally different experience.😃 I'll surely try this one. 😃

It's amazing! It's all so good, but the things that especially stands out for me, are the higher-poly cars, and better movement animation! Most other videos I see are all about graphics, but they leave the characters and car models untouched. Now the characters have a more natural movement (and fingers too!)

I've been playing the "definitive" edition lately, and as much as I like how it looks and (mostly) plays, it just doesn't feel like GTA 3. This is more of what that version should have been; it builds on and fleshes out what's already there but also adds some desperately-needed quality-of-life features. One question: did you install the game from the original retail discs, or did you buy the bundle from Steam/Rockstar? I'm trying to figure out which version is easier to mod so I know what to buy.

Thanks for the nice words. I have the game on Steam but the only version that can be modded is 1.0, meaning that unless you have the OG retail discs you'll need to downgrade before you can install mods.

Most of the mods work fine. The only thing is that the framerate if capped at 60, becomes choppy. It fluctuates between 40 to 60 in some areas

The GTA modding community is amazing, nice job on the showcase! For those looking for a way to play GTA 3 in HD with a few extra additions that help it to keep up with the later titles's improvements while staying true to the original atmosphere, you really need to try this. BTW, those mods can run fine even on integrated graphic cards, you will need processing power, and a medium to fast HDD/SDD to avoid lag spikes, but I think a i3 with 4GB Ram minimum should do fine with 30-50FPS. Turning off reflections on cars should help as well.

Now THIS is the Definitive Edition, not that pathetic excuse for a remaster. And for anyone who wants to make it easier for themselves, download "Definitive Edition Project" mod first. It has the Xbox HD mod in it already and uses a modloader. Most of the mods in his pastebin can be downloaded and simply thrown into the modloader and they'll work. Keep in mind that ASI scripts should go into the scripts folder while CS scripts go into the Cleo folder. For the HD Tripack, just put that into the modloader (minus the "Vehicles Added" folder).

@@jordananderson8299 Depends what you did. I tried not to install all the mods. I only installed ones that would improve textures, car and gun models, and characters. Also, SkyGFX and LODLights can cause a slow down at times in the game but you shouldn't have FPS issues all the time. Remember that you need Open Limit Adjuster for all the other mods to work properly. Otherwise, that's why it might run slow.
