Using Live Shrimp to Catch Redfish on The Flats
We set out to do some kayak fishing at one of my favorite fishing spots at Shell Key Preserve in Saint Petersburg, FL. Using live shrimp and some artificials we were able to find a few decent fish. The fishing started a bit on the slower side but we decided to keep things dynamic in order to locate the fish. It was a beautiful day on the water and we were able to get a few filets out of the trip.

@@lfgfishing Ah gotcha. They’re all over our grass flats over here, they straight wreck soft plastics and take chunks out of em… especially if you find a concentration of them. They’re annoying but I still like to watch em’ puff up’ 😅
