Using Guide Wire To Section Off Working Area To Find Automower Boundary Wire Break (No Loop Vid. 7)

In this video we explain the method of swapping a guide wire with a boundary wire to help narrow down where the break is in the boundary wire for a Husqvarna Automower. This is a useful tactic that many dealers use when attempting to diagnose a no loop error because not only can it help narrow down the area with the break, but in most cases it also helps to prove that the charging station is capable of producing a solid green LED meaning that part of the loop system is good, but more importantly proving that the charging station and power supply are working properly. One important note about using this method is that this will NOT work if your guide wire is not in proper working condition. After using this method to narrow down what section of the lawn is causing your Husqvarna Automower's no loop error, then you can walk along that area to look for any obvious signs of where the wire might be broken. If you are lucky the sot where the wire is damaged will be easy to spot such as where someone was digging, a vehicle ran through the lawn, the wire broke on a tree root, or maybe someone put something in the ground like a sign, tent stake, post, etc.

We were sat watching our auto mower called ‘Lilly’ when she came to a sudden stop. Been working fine for 3 hours in this session. Apart from broken wires due pesky wildlife, she has performed to gold medal standard for 4 years. Our 450x has been serviced every year. What I have never taken in to our local dealership is the docking/ charging station. Error message and the blue flashing light was indicated. A walk around our boundary gave no indication that wildlife was the cause of a broken boundary wire. So, as my Dad used to say, don’t remove the engine when it could be a loose wire Having watched your series on the dreaded blue flashing light, I started at the power source. Stage by stage all results were fine. Double checked, fine. A complete day dismantling wires carefully placed out of sight. Then another look at your fantastic tutorials regarding this problem and ‘Eureka’, It was those little blue connectors on the charging station, changed those and bingo, success. Many many thanks, keep up the good work, you are a star.

He lays on the charging station out in our yard and make the mower push him off of it so it can park.
