This video gave me an idea about the question I asked in one of your videos. Is it possible to make something like this: 1. Create a single hair curve (let's call it "guide curve") 2. Duplicate the guide curve, using 3.5 hair nodes 3. Capture all the curves into a texture using "store named attribute" and this "geometry proximity" nodes and make a simple material in the shader editor using that attribute 4. Back at the GeoNodes, after store named attribute node, add a delete geometry node, to delete all duplicated curves (don't delete the guide curve, only the duplicated) 5. Transform the guide curve into mesh, using just a curve line, to make it just a plane (you'd probably should position this node paralel to the main process, starting before the duplication of the curves. That's because we need to use the generated plane as the target in step3) 6. Apply a material to that mesh, the one created in step 4 That way, you'd supposedly end with a plane that looks (with some shader nodes tweaking, using alpha and normal values) exactly like the curves, would it work? I'd try it later today and update this comment with either a possitive or negative result

Surely I'm not the only one that got inspiration to try experimenting with nodes by watching your videos. You are teaching us to not be afraid of it, as it can be quite entertaing to try new crazy things and I am very thankful for that

I got no luck :( The Geometry proximity node only works with meshes, not with curves. Failing point 3 of my plan. I tried converting the hairs to meshes, but still can't make it work. Will keep trying
