the console itself doesn't have the plug but you can plug the 3.5mm headset cable into the controller

@@something2941 nah you can get an I3 12100f for 80 and it's a fantastic gaming cpu it will run anything. I know this because my brother has one with an rx 580 and it runs any games he wants to lol.

I think saving a little bit more and getting the Series X is a better way to replace a PC, because you also get the option to play almost every older gen game. you can buy them for like $5-10 ea with a disc and just insert them and start playing with no problem.

!!!UPDATE!!! If you don't have experience gaming on a 120+ fps pc then don't come into the comments saying that I'm wrong. The Series S is extraordinary with a controller, but the M&K experience will never compete with a PC. They are different machines designed for different audiences, stop trying to compare them. I did the Series S "PC replacement" when I was waiting for a gpu. It's decent if you aren't a competitive gamer, but there is a huge issue with latency in some games that really breaks the enjoyment. Otherwise, if your coming form a pc that runs games on low settings below 60 fps this will feel really good in Warzone, and COD titles.

As someone who owns the series s, I have not noticed much, if any latency issues. I play plenty of fast passes higher frame rate games like fortnight, Halo, and battle front 2. they run smoothly!

Tell me about it. On controller the input lag is REAL! Switching from this console to my laptop PC back and forth I can tell the latency and input lag is very noticeable on xbox. But it loads alot of games faster plus quick resume keeps me on the console more than laptop. Laptop has 3060 with 16 gigs of ram

I have a high end PC rig, but decided on a XBSX for the lounge a few months back. Its a great little console very well built and runs cool. It could however never replace my PC simply because half the games I play are not even available on console. Second problem of course is I use my PC for productivity, its not just a toy so to speak.

I got this exact setup just for war thunder. One of my favorite games but not enough buttons on a controller to comfortably map/bind everything I need to use. So went keyboard and mouse and the series s has never let me down!!

I have also set myself up in a room, it is great, I recommend an Xbox Series S to everyone, it is really productive with Microsoft Edge, it is very fast to navigate between applications and its price is ridiculous.

Had and used the tonor mic for about a year now. It's actually very good, and compared to my friend using a blue yeti, the tonor mic sounds more clear. Got it for 50 bucks and highly recommend it

i literally just built got a digital storm pc setup. i had the series x for awhile now and its nice to have both. the game selection on pc is unmatched

Yea this was my build for about a year. Since all 4 of my controllers have stick drift forward. Shit 50 dollars a control vs 24 dollars on Amazon for mouse and keyboard. Best decision ever. Movement gets way better in games too. Mad i never did it earlier. It's worth it if u got the space for mouse and keyboard.

it has replaced mine. It is subbing out my Ryzen 5 and 1060. The Series S runs smoother and is more powerful. Absolute love this system.

It's just funny that the CPU is a bit stronger, but the GPU is slower. GTX 1060: 4.37 TFLOPS. Series S: 4 TFLOPS. What you don't see is that the games are optimized for the hardware and that's easier on a console because it's always the same hardware. The Series S also works a lot with fog, otherwise the resolution and FPS will not be maintained.

You guys get it. I've been saying that you can buy a Series S , a 1080p 144hz monitor and a budget paddles controller for less than the price of a Series X or PS5. Support for 120hz/120fps is right around the corner for most games/developers. Perfect budget gaming setup.

Have the S hooked up to my 4k, and use it more than my midish end PC, games look and run great, and if you have a VRR monitor it's a very great experience 👍 It does feel different though with games that don't have M+K support but I haven't encountered any serious latency issues

you can buy a mnk adaptor to make it work with more games and fix the set up for around 20$

I would use a mouse and keyboard on my base model PS4 for fortnite back in late 2017. The input lag is awful, but you're still able to navigate the whole playstation with the mouse and keyboard IIRC.

The fact is you can't get anywhere near as good experience from a PC without spending more than 2x the cost of the series S probably even more depending on market and country

You can navigate in the XBOX Menu using the arrow keys and the WIN keys works as the XBOX Button

If u have a keyboard with arrow keys you can navigate out of the games.u push windows to go home space to select and the arrow keys to navigate

I have this set up and all i run is warzone on controller and key board i love it

I run a very similar setup myself just with a series X instead and it does work very well for me

2:46 - you can use the arrow keys to navigate around the Xbox and I think either space bar or enter is a to click on things

You can turn world motion blur off in the game settings on warzone. I play on Xbox with a monitor and mouse and key.

One hint you can turn off motion blur in the settings for consoles

I actually picked my s up for 150 on sale through verizon.... absolutely can't justify anything else for that price. Impressive little box.

In vanguard you can turn off motion blur and adjust the fov.

in the xbox home screen you can use arrow keys to select games and you use enter key or space key to go into a aplication

I used to play keyboard and mouse over controller but I don't usually anymore. I just liked the feeling of having a gaming pc because I've always wanted one. now that I have one I just play controller. but for Mic support plug it into the controller

What's interesting is my Samsung TV remote can actually navigate in the dashboard and can be used in apps like KZread and or Amazon prime video without a controller to both launch the app and to select videos.

You can use the Arrow keys to navigate and use enter to enter app or game

yea , surprised they didn't show off what's possible on the web browser. I've been seeing headlines about different web apps that work well in the Series Xbox web browser. I think remote PC control for gaming is a thing but I could be wrong. Also emulation is possible on the Xbox without hacking, I rarely care for emulation but a lot of gamers do.

Alot of their complaints are just lack of research on their part you can change fov refresh rate can be changed in the settings and you can plug the headset into your controller

Idrc about the keyboard part but I prefer a mouse strongly because it’s so much easier to make fine aim adjustments

USB on xbox also works. If you want a wireless mic, it should work.

As a PC gamer who has an Xbox that was mainly used as a smart TV it’s nice to be able to play some games in a way that I feel more comfortable with. I am alright mum, I got a gaming PC back when I used to use my Xbox 360 so coming back to Xbox and trying to use a controller is like trying to walk around with two left feet. I honestly wish more games supported this . The reason Warzone does no have allthe functions you mentioned is ot preset because Warzone is not yet updated for Series X/S it is still last gen game

I bought a one x and it is AWESOME comes very close to the series s only the 60 fps are bad

For single player games its a great option at the price, I wouldn't use it for Mouse & Keyboard play online though with the latency and lower frames, just use the controller and use game pass and you'll have an awesome library of single player games

im pretty sure with warzone you can turn off the motion blur and weapon movement blur.

If you have a tkl keyboard you can navigate with the arrows

And you only have to replace a mouse when the rubber comes off instead of when the faulty joystick wears out

You can use your keyboard in the xbox menu but only the Arrow keys

You should try minecraft with shaders / rtx for your benchmarks.

I play on series s with keyboard and mouse.. the reason is a decent keyboard is like $50 and half decent mouse $30.. Xbox controllers are unreliable, with stick drift being a common thing, and to replace a standard controller is like $100+. I also like the fine aim a mouse provides 😊

Well I have a friend that me and my buddies give a really hard time because he has a potato for a pc. He just got a series x and honestly that was the best thing he has ever done. As far as performance it blows his pc out of the water and he is very happy because it didn't break the bank. Anything crossplay he plays xbox then pc only he jumps on his potato lol

This was literally my setup but with a Xbox One before I got my PC 😂

I only know keyboard and mouse I absolutely cannot play on a controller unless it's like a driving game then I use controllers. I've been pc gaming since 2009 when I built my first pc using a athlon x2 240.

Have played controller about 20 years of my life and started mouse and keyboard a few years ago. Prefer mouse and keyboard for the soul fact that it feels more controllable and it’s pure skill than aim assist support. Get bored on my controller now when it feels to simple.
