Using a subtitle (.srt) file to watch a foreign film.flv
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
You've downloaded a french film from veehd or through P2P but the file itself is not subtitled (anyway, when a film is recoded with hard subs, a lot of video quality is lost - much better to watch the original) - but you don't know how to add subtitles and watch in your player...
Not hard ;-)
I think this is pretty clearly explained and easy to view.
So far, zero likes and zero dislikes, and only 202 views. That's cool, as i didn't do it for the glory. But it would be nice to know that people who were searching for a solution to THIS specific problem, A) found this vid; and B) that it answered their problem. If yes, or no, give me feedback.
Afterthought:
vlc player easily downloaded at cnet: download.cnet.com/VLC-Media-Pl...
To use Windows Media player you need to install DirectVobSub codec from here: www.free-codecs.com/download/d...
but it's glitchy, so you have to watch the film from start to finish, and can't change your place without the subs going haywire.... so why would you? D'load VLC, easily the best of the common players - you won't regret it.

thanks...it works well
I tried following your advice but it didn't work. I found a subtitle file for the film in question ('Life and Nothing But ',1989) and it has the .srt suffix. When I added it in vlc it said 'subtitles added', but when I played the film in vlc there were no subtitles. I loaded the film by dragging the CD which was on the desktop into vlc and it played alright, but I'm wondering if what went wrong was that one needs to convert the CD into some other format to add the subtitle file? Can you please advise.

Sorry, I've never done it with a DVD, so can't advise. It's possible you are right and you would need to rip the DVD to create an .mp4 file. (Then put the .srt in the same file and rename it).
Gracias :D
Thank You :D:D:D:D
When is downloads --It's not downloading naturally-- The browser is using the wrong program to open with STR with---Not you how i can correct this?
