I use a heat press in our screen print shop and was curious if I could use it to laminate. I’m trying to make a cook book of my grandmother’s recipes and wanted to laminate the pages. Thank you so much for the video, it was exactly the information I was looking for. Incidentally, she passed away just three days after this video was made.

Thank you so much for the video! A lady at my church thought I had a laminator and bought me several boxes of lamination sheets for doing up things for church. This is helpful!

Thanks for this! I was looking for an alternate way of laminating. You’re a lifesaver. I have a heat press. I’ll be trying this soon!

Awesome info. Yes, the extra plastic acts as a heat sink. More plastic takes longer because more plastic is heated. This is golden. Thank you!

Thank you so much for all of the temperature info. I'm in the middle of an organizational project and this was extremely helpful. Yet another reason to use my heat press!

Wow I was planning to laminate pressed flowers onto paper for a book. I was just looking to see if I could skip buying a machine since I have a heat press... And here's your video doing almost exactly what I want to do haha! Awesome!!

Cool idea. Did you try actually drying flowers in this. And wondering what the Teflon papers are. Will watch more of your videos. My laminator broke. I had only been laminating the flowers with no background papers. I like seeing the front and back of flowers, but possibly move on to other products and cards. I was gong to buy a better laminator but this shows more uses to me.

Thanks for a great video and idea. And here's a tip for you. Get a couple heavy duty magnets and put them on the sides of the heat press lid to attach that teflon sheet to the top of your press. Never have to touch it again!

HI, I really don't know anymore. I have had it for at least fifteen years or more. I would just do a search and look for something in your price range. I know it was not an expensive model, but more expensive than what is out there now. One thing as you read comments - when you first get one take it outside on a nice day and heat it up for about 15+ minutes on about 350 +/-. It will smell as it bruns off whatever is on it when new that needs to disappate. Once it burns off the new burn smell goes away and things are fine after that. I only mention becuase in looking over what is out ther now, for example on Amazon, that is a comment I have come accross. Not sure if the now days less expensive machines have gotten less reliable/cheap in performance? Mine has worked fine but I don't use it that often. But when I do, I really abuse it as you can see from my eco printing videos. Also, if using with water please use caution in regard to water/electricity. Again, I have had no issues but I wear rubber sole shoes just in case and a grounded plug. But then again I iron using a water spray bottle so theres that - as the saying goes. Thanks for watching, Em

@@emsplace Thank you Em. No worries, at 67 I've used lots of items where caution is wise. I'm just spending the day catching up on some of your videos and I'm thinking the press makes bookmarks so much better than my laminator. The seal around the flowers is perfect. TY
