Useless Pokhara International Airport - Debt Trap of China?
In Nepal, there are only three international airports operating within a 20-25 minute flight distance. Tara Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu has such heavy traffic because other airports have not been developed sufficiently to handle international flights. Regarding Pokhara Airport, there was land acquisition in 2032. According to a study conducted in 2045, a project worth $40 million was planned. The intention to increase the project from $40 million to $300 million was evident in 2011. This indicates a desire to siphon off money by manipulating tenders. After facing opposition, the project was eventually completed at a cost of $216 million. Building this airport in Pokhara seems to have filled the pockets of many. What are your thoughts on this?

Whatever it is upgrading of Pokhara Airport was indispensable since planes could not land in the night. Now planes can land even in the nights as well. We need to outsource the operation of the airports to private sectors for better management.
If they think runway is too short then why not make a curved runway so the length of runway can increase.
