The S type is not based on a Mondeo, that is rhe X type. I have a 2.7d S type and it is a great car.

You are definitely a drama queen. S type is not based on the Mondeo, you're getting confused with the X-type. S type shares the Ford DEW platform with the Lincoln LS, Ford Thunderbird and the Jaguar XF.

You complain about the interior in this then when you take it for a drive you comment how great the interior is. The engine is Jaguar, the transmission is Jaguar, the ride is Jaguar the smoothness is Jaguar. What is wrong with Ford parts anyway? Easy to get hold off. When I drive my 3.0L V6 I feel special...I am in a Jaguar with the badge on the steering wheel and the Jaguar mascot on the front. I don't care about switches as long as they work. I have driven cars for decades and this model is so reliable. I driven BMW's and find them over-rated and in some cases unreliable and needing wads of cash to keep them going. We all have personal opinions and we all have favourites for different reasons.

I like the car and I like the general drive/ ambience...like you say it is personal preferences...but it's just those smaller details like the switch gear that are bugging me...which I understand won't bug others

You don't know what you're talking about. It was the x type that used mondao underframe not the s type.

Aston, Martin use ford parts Lamborghini use Audi parts Bentley use vw parts they all do it cost i presume?

Yes indeed, just one of those bug bears...but the very least they could've done is use better window control buttons on the Jag...those buttons look so cheap.

Makes the doors less squeaky and more ridgid

Typical car dealer, never got any fuel in the car!😁 Lots of high end car manufacturers use parts bins for mundane components, even Lamborghini. Annoying, but why try to reinvent the wheel! Great video! PS did you see the Ami on BCA recently. I was going to watch it but I forget.

S type has nothing in common with the ford Mondeo, completely different cars altogether. The Jaguar X type was similar to the Mondeo but even that used only 19% of ford parts according to the reports I’ve seen from other car experts.😊

This car left me in a quandary....love it and then I go to put window down and I see those switches...I go back to driving it's great again..then I go to put air con on and I see those buttons. Every time I use the indicator etc....just those little things made feel at times like I was in a Mondeo.

Hello mate , nice video as usual. What do you think of mazda 2 2015 onward 1.5 l petrol with 6 speed automatic gearbox ? Are they reliable ? Is there any known issues ? Could you please make a review on one of them ?

They're usually pretty solid cars. Pretty rare sight in the UK. Just make sure it has maintenance history and they're usually otherwise fine. For similar money I'd still get the Yaris..even though the mazda2 feels better to drive. Yaris easier to sell on and cheaper to maintain over the long term

I own a 2007 S type, and thought that the drive train was 100% Ford, based upon the Lincoln Continental at the time. Ford owned Jag for a short period of time, and my understanding was that it had to do with economies of scale, etc. I could be wrong, but from the Vid's I've watched, it seems that way. Anybody know different? Appreciate the feedback. Thx

The Scorpio tried to copy the Jag on the headlights....... The Scorpio came out first.

Oops...😊....I blame those awful window buttons completely put me off. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Its a Mondeo. Nothhing against Mondeos they were solid cars but Jag no.
